I attached this to a utility room door that opens into the garage. This bar should provide additional security without the expense and labor of installing deadbolts, etc. Instructions weren’t included but you don’t need any. I taped everything in place just ensure it fit and was level. Then drilled the holes, installed the anchors, drove the screws. Probably took 15 minutes. This door bar looks much nicer than the cheaper ones I’ve seen online.

I purchased two of these for exterior doors and they were very easy to install. I used a self tapping screw to start the pilot holes which made things easy. The product is high quality. I did not want a barricade bar that fully removed, so I went with this one. I love it. You really can’t put a price on peace of mind!

It’s good if you don’t want to drill dead bolt could be a little longer for a standard entry/exit 3’ door

I bought this to reinforce a basement storm shelter door. Easy to install and works great. My door opens out so I dont know how strong it would be on a door that opens in.

Great barrier for slowing down an intruder, but I'm just not sure it would prevent a determined invader... but really what does at this price? It looks neat and to an average homeowner's eye it's a good design in that bars extend to both sides of the door (hinged side and opening side) and the fixtures that catch the 'bolts' are attached inside the frame with the ability for you to swap out the provided screws and put 4 inch screws that would go through the door surround, the frame and into the stud. You can screw the bolts into place once locked to prevent them from sliding out again. There are some additional knobs that act as hooks if you want to hang anything off it. As you'll probably put this about halfway up your door then you cant hang long thinhs off it. The bars that make the bolts are flat straps of metal. They will flex just with normal use, and would likely bend with enough force. I'm not sure if this design of 'bar' is a stroke of genius or just form over function. By being flat straps the whole thing is smaller than it would be if had round bars. It may even be that by providing flex then it absorbs some brute force before transmitting it to the frame. I feel more secure with it on.

It is definitely well built. Didn’t come with instructions, and this is more for the fact that the sliding bar has two knobs, which can be tightened to stop the bar sliding. This did cause a little confusion, because once fitted I couldn’t slide it? Only by accident did I realise the knob loosen and tighten. It’s only a small thing, but would’ve save some head scratching at the beginning. Other than that, great product, and thoroughly recommend.

I bought this a year ago for a rental property I stayed in while renovating, it's easy to install, extremely secure, and I've already had 5 (soon 6) other neighbours asked me for the link to order one themselves.
