The absolute best concealer for anyone with acne, especially hormonal acne. I’ve been using this stuff for decades. Not only does it cover beautifully, but it genuinely does help to heal active pimples. It also works to avoid acne in other areas since it doesn’t contribute to clogged pores. And it doesn’t oxidize on my skin, which is a slight miracle. Everything tends to oxidize from my natural skin oils, sometimes within 30 minutes, but this remains put all day. The consistency could take some getting used to for it to create the perfect coverage—I tend place a tiny dot on every pimple and then go back to blend each one a bit (not blend so much as keep dabbing a clean finger over the pimple and dabbing around it to spread it out. Brushing it could remove it, while dabbing it with a brush or finger works great). I also leave the worst pimples for last, because allowing it to dry a few seconds longer makes for better coverage. This is perfect for no-makeup makeup. I usually don’t wear makeup, but if I have a hormonal breakout, I’ll use this concealer and top it off with a powder. I’m grateful this comes in a shade that allows me to avoid foundation with it.

The trick to this is to apply it correctly. The first time I applied it under the Almay Clear Complexion makeup (which I normally use), and it just smeared with the makeup. I then tried it on top of the makeup and just tapped it until it blended out and it worked perfectly. I then set it with powder, and you could hardly see any blemishes (I have adult acne). I ordered the Fair and I have Irish fair skin. However, I will try the Light next time as I found the Fair a tinge too light but that might be the closest I'm going to get to my skin color. Either way, I did like this a lot and it did not cake on my skin. The fact that you touch your skin with the applicator and then put it back in the bottle is probably not the best clean idea but I have not found a better blemish concealer solution at a reasonable price. I will be purchasing this again.

Works well to cover blemishes but has a funny musty smell to it.

I rarely would be able to wear full face makeup without breaking out after due to my acne prone skin, so I just thought I just never would be able to. I took a risk buying this even after swearing off wearing foundation/concealer & was really surprised. I found that this is honestly better than some of my actual skin care products. I was in the middle on an outbreak & since starting to use this most days, it has gone away almost completely really quickly whereas usually it goes mostly down but still stays somewhat & takes forever. I never really wore face makeup before this so I don’t have much to compare it to, but it applies well & seems pretty good except you need to wet whatever you’re using to blend it since it tries to stay wherever you initially place it.

It goes on alright, but dries so fast that it doesn’t blend at all smoothly. So, coverage is not the best. Color is fine, but I won’t order this again.
