The Veikk A15 comes in nice simple packaging and includes everything you need to get drawing, the included glove is a nice touch for those that prefer smooth movement of the hand over the surface. The tablet is a good comfortable size – around A4 with a similar texture as paper, very slightly rough but not too much so you still get that glide with the pen. The circular dial in the top left comes in a variety of colours which you can choose on purchase. Although the dial spins with touch it has no function which would have been nice to see, such as changing brush sizes. The button in the middle of the dial also has no function. The weight of the tablet is just right in my opinion, it’s very light but feels solid and well built, it’s also very thin – this makes the tablet great for portable use. There are twelve function buttons down the left side, note that the tablet can be rotated for left handed users which would put the buttons on the right. These buttons can be programmed for pretty much anything you need as default or you can assign profiles based on which program you are using, you can activate profiles depending on what software you are currently using. They have a nice feel and click smoothly, pressing them by mistake is also quite difficult to do since they are almost flush with the rest of the tablet. No power button or switches are on the tablet, you simply plug in the USB-C cable on left side and plug into your computer which turns on the device. It’s nice to see USB-C as it can be used in any direction, the included cable is L-Shaped so you don’t have that annoying protruding cable sticking out the side. Being a desktop computer user I would have liked a longer cable since my computer is on the right and the cable is connected on the left so is bit of a stretch. The tablet is not wireless and would not expect to be at this price point. The pen comes in a nice felt sleeve and is of a typical standard pen size. There are two buttons near the tip which can also be programmed for your needs. I feel these could be perhaps placed slightly higher up as I have pressed them several times during use – this could be different depending on your grip and hand size though. I would like to have seen some rubber on the pen to improve grip and comfort but considering the great price of this tablet I can understand some luxuries have not been included. The included nibs are pretty standard and you do get a bag with a bunch of extras for when they wear down. While using the tablet mostly in Illustrator CC for vector work, the movement was smooth and precise with no jitter or loss of pressure, the lines were clean and tapered fairly well. Drivers worked without issues in Windows 10 x64 but I do recommend to uninstall any other tablet drivers before using this one. Overall I am pleased with the purchase, as an owner of much more expensive Huion & Wacom tablets, at this price point it’s very difficult to compete with. The size and features of the Veikk A15 make this highly recommended for beginner to intermediate users looking for a compact and affordable tablet.

I wasn't sure what to expect from this tablet given the cheap price, but I have been very pleasantly surprised by it! The first thing I noticed after unboxing it is that the build quality feels very nice. The construction feels solid and the tablet has a lovely modern and slim look to it. The drawing surface is a matte black plastic which feels nice and the programmable buttons (of which there are 12!) on the front feel good quality and have a nice click to them when pressed. The stylus comes in a little felt holder and is nice and lightweight, along with it are 20 spare nibs which should last years. Set up was simple, just a case of downloading and installing the software and then plugging the tablet in. Inside the software there are a plethora of options to customise the buttons on the tablet, customise the buttons on the stylus, customise the pressure curve of your stylus, change which monitor your tablet is mapped to etc etc. The software is very similar to what you would see from Wacom and has all the same options, you can even adjust how the shortcut keys behave depending on which software you have open. I like to reduce the amount of pressure required to get a full strength stroke when I draw and the software accommodated that by allowing me to change the pressure curve to how I like it. My tablet didn't have the pressure sensitivity working at first but that was easily solved by ticking the "Enable Windows Ink" option in the software (just pointing that out in case anyone else has the same issue!). Overall I was very impressed with the software, it seems to do everything you need it to! The drawing experience while using this tablet is great. I've been using it with Photoshop and I'm able to get nice smooth lines and the pressure sensitivity works great and gives me lots of control over the size of my lines and the opacity of my paint strokes. I'm very pleased with the size of the tablet, 10x6 inches is plenty of space for me and I am using this on a 27 inch monitor. The tablet surface has a bit of texture to it (I would say it feels similar to a smoother grained paper) so there is a nice amount of friction between the stylus and the tablet which gives you more control over your lines. Overall I am super impressed with this tablet. For £60 I wasn't expecting very much at all but this is a very competent piece of kit, it would suit both experienced digital artists as well as beginners. If you currently don't have a tablet and you're looking to buy your first one I think this would be an excellent choice!

It's pretty good but sometimes pen is freezing, once I power cycle the tablet it starts working again. That's the only issue I'm having. Material quality is good, coming with a lot of pen tips. All good.

First impression of the tablet, it looked professional, smooth surface and it has a cool design. I would say that the set up took a while to do when trying to download the software onto my MacBook Air 11 inch. Other than that, I really like the features that are included on the tablet. With the buttons that are on the side, you can set up shortcuts onto them, which for me as a illustrator and drawing my characters, it makes it a lot easier to have a shortcut to either my eraser/pen tool, zooming in or out or switching to other tools quickly. My favourite part however is the pen, with the 2 buttons it makes it so much easier to again switch to the pen/eraser, or undoing a recent action. Overall, the tablet is easy to use once you get used to the buttons and once the set up is all done. I like how smooth the surface is and how you can change the touch pressure of the pen. Definetly a product to purchase if your an illustrator or a graphic designer or even if you need to create professional designs for your work.
