Good value
Removing the old keybard was not easy. I ended up prying the old one out with a single edge razor, and a paint scraper. Pay heed to how far the ribbon cable attaches and make sure the new one goes into the connector the same amount. It worked perfectly.

Drop-in replacement on an HP G7-1225 laptop computer
As the title says, this keyboard is a drop-in replacement on an HP G7-1225 laptop computer. Key touch is very much like that of the factory original. Before removing the keyboard from the case, you'll need to remove one screw that secures the keyboard to the chassis. Access to that retaining screw is via the removable cover on the bottom of the case. No need to disassemble the case. Remove the retaining screw, then use a small flat-tip screwdiver or a spudger to remove the old leyboard.

a cheap fix for a "broken" laptop
I purchased this for my HP Pavilion g series. Several keys were working intermittently, and googling led me to buy this keyboard. Installation was pretty straight forward (see youtube). I'm always nervous taking apart plastic parts, everything is so cheap and seems like it will break if you touch it wrong. Laptop works like new. Some of the buttons are a little different than the stock keyboard. The shift button is half the size and messed me up for awhile. Took some getting used to.

Customer Service is great!
My post below must be updated! I got an email from the company, honoring their 6 month warranty and saying they are sending me a new keyboard. I'm so pleased! I'll be updating this to five stars if the new keyboard works more than 6 months! Faulty equipment happens...good customer service takes effort! I'm very pleased! OLD POST.... I bought this keyboard March 18th. It worked fine until two days ago. Now numerous keys are non-functioning including the space bar! I saw other reviews that had the same problem, but figured they were a fluke. It's not like keyboards are scanned and duplicated, so how would all the keyboards from the same company just stop working shortly after installed? Yet here I am, putting a USB keyboard on top of my lap top to type, until I can buy another keyboard from a more dependable supplier. I'm very disappointed - it would happen AFTER my return time is over. Is it like a built in expiration date - just too late to return? Is that even possible? Not sure, but feel like if it is, that's what happened. And, what happened to my 6 month warranty listed in the description? It only had a 30 day warranty because it ended April 18th.

Perfect Fit
Fit perfectly in my HP. It installed without any issues and is still working. The only issue, as others have mentioned, is the enter button is different than the original keyboard. Still, you will have a hard time finding an OEM keyboard to replace this. Pleased with my purchase!

Excellent Functionality. More Solid Than The OEM Version !!
Excellent Functionality. More Solid Than The OEM Version !! The option to change the keyboard up would be nice i cannot stand these specific ones lol every time i try to hit the A-key i hit caps and every time i try to hit Enter I end up hitting one of the |\"'}]{{ Keys...although this design sits with hp as their fault upgrade options would be great.....looking forward to buying more sunmall's for my customers

It is a gamble, but based on price, it might be worth it to save several hundred dollars
I initially ordered one of these a week and a half ago as I have an old HP from 8 years ago that finally had it's keyboard fail. Upon replacing, this new keyboard worked flawlessly for the first several days, however by week's end, this new keyboard had keys that no longer worked. Specifically, it started with keys '5', '6', and 'T', then proceeded to spread to more keys over the next 24 hours. I bought a second one of these (options of keyboard replacements were limited, as my client had time constraints and needed the laptop ASAP) and the keyboard was delivered BENT. No joke, the top end of one side was almost at a 60 degree angle. I noticed something was wrong when I saw the box in a similar manner before pulling out the keyboard. The keyboard was delivered in a thin cardboard box and the box was placed inside a packing envelope. This is ridiculous. I'm not sure if the seller dropped it off with UPS and UPS packed it this way or if the seller intentionally packed it this way, but that is inexcusable regardless. Computer components and peripherals are generally fragile, short of a full ATX computer case, and need to be packed appropriately (15 years of working in the IT field has taught me much). When the keyboard is functioning, it works like any other keyboard. The key layout is a bit different than general American keyboards, but that is to be expected in this case. The keys themselves press down nicely and, in some weird way, don't seem easy to break like the original HP keyboard. Recommendation: This is a 50/50 shot. Unfortunately, my client wasn't thrilled about buying a new laptop and was okay with spending a cool 14 dollars to potentially resolve his issue, despite how old his g7 was. For the price, it is worth the gamble to see if this will fix your laptop instead of having to drop 300+ on a new laptop. Weigh the Pros and Cons yourself and see what is more worth it to you.

Bon achat. Me permet de conserver un ordinateur portable dont la clavier avait atteint sa fin de vie. Voir sur YouTube pour comment changer le clavier par vous-même.
