Perfect and so good, what a great synth!

So many voices, layers, splits.. drum kits, pads, samples... it's all there. There is so much packed into this that it will take me some time to figure it all out - that said, it's logically laid out and the colour touch screen makes things pretty straight forward. Plus you can easily play it straight away without really knowing anything about all its advanced features. I chose the 88 note version to get the weighted keys. It's a pretty good touch - takes just a little time to get used to it but I like it. I thought a 73-noter would be adequate however that one is not weighted, and I've discovered I do like the extra keys that can be used for more splits giving me more voices to play without any button pushing. The virtual tone wheel organ is very realistic, and also very adjustable. Not ideal to play organ on this weighted keybed though. I shall have to try connecting a midi keyboard and see how I get on. Shame not to get the best out of the organ. Are there drawbacks with this keyboard? - undoubtedly, however for the price I don't think there is anything to match it.

I’ve now had this keyboard (88 keys) for around 6 months now, after watching several online videos I’m starting to get to know how to program sounds, using the sampler, sequencer and all the other cool things it does. It has around 3000 on board sounds.. so I believe, which can be expanded via Roland sound cloud. The key bed does the job for me as I’m a casual player and don’t do gigs. If your more of a piano player, it’s probably not the instrument for you. It’s definitely worth investing in if your after a decent workstation for a reasonable price.

Not for the unitianated but it gets easier with use. Some sounds especially the piano are not up to scratch for an expensive synth but you can download sounds but at a price

I am a classical pianist mostly, and there lies my mistake with this purchase. This is great if you are doing production stuff and want a range of sounds or playing basic pop piano. But the keys are really heavy and don't spring up as fast as most digital or acoustic pianos. This makes fast trills and what not quite difficult and hard on the fingers. The keys are also a little clacky for lack of a better term. You also need a good amp if you want decent sound quality which adds to the price making it poor value for money in my opinion.

Its an amazing machine imo,the best synth ive ever had anyway. I would highly recommend this keyboard to anyone wether beginner or pro. Sound quality is excellent,features=massive amounts. A total production studio in all reality. All around excellence as far as im concerned. I love it. A*****

Fantastic little Roland synthesiser for the money personally I cannot fault this it is absolutely brilliant for composing. It’s a joy to be able to move away from the computer for a little while. You can use this keyboard as an audio interface for PC and Mac I hope this helps you decide. I would not hesitate to buy again if needed I expect it to last me many years.

There is no better keyboard than this. It is the best and amazing!

Nach einer Woche im Besitz, möchte ich ein erstes Fazit geben. Ich bin zufrieden und kann eine Kaufempfehlung geben. Allerdings nicht als Einsteigermodell, sondern eher für Fortgeschrittene. Faktor gegen Einsteigermodell wäre der etwas höhere Preis und die Komplexität in der Bedienung. Aber das muss jeder für sich selbst entscheiden. Für mich selbst war der Fund einer günstigen Version zum Original Fantom wichtig. Die Fantom 0 Serie hat genügend Features wie der große Bruder, eine große Auswahl an Sounds. Es macht Spaß und Freude damit bzw. darauf zu spielen. Nochmals zur Komplexität. Es liegt, wie immer ein Handbuch dabei. Ich empfehle trotzdem das Internet zu nutzen. Es gibt viele Videotutorials und Foren, wo man Sachen nachlesen kann. Zu den technischen Details erwähne ich nichts, da diese in der Produktbeschreibung stehen. Trotzdem ein paar Highlights, die mir gefallen. 1. Netzteil 12V ist dabei. Hat einen flachen Stecker. Nicht so einen "Klotz", wie man das von älteren Notebookadaptern vielleicht kennt. Nutzer von Verteilersteckdosen wissen, was ich meine, das man den Stecker nicht reinquetschen muss, weil der Stecker so klobig ist. 2. Der Synth ist sehr leicht für seine Größe. Ich habe ihn auf einem Doppelkeyboardständer oben platziert. Da rutscht und wackelt nichts. Natürlich gibt es Schwingungen, wenn man darauf spielt. Aber keine Angst vor Absturz. 3. USB Memory Port für Einspielen eigener Samples, WAV, MP3. USB Port für externe Geräte. Da habe ich einen Roland Juno über MIDI Kabel verbunden. Bewirkt, das der Fantom den Juno steuert und der Juno Zugriff auf den Soundkatalog des Fantoms erhält. Finde ich gut seinen "Fuhrpark" mit einfachen Mitteln zu erweitern. 4. Zahlreiche Vintagesounds, z.B. Roland D50, die einfach nur genial klingen und die 80er zurückholen. Nutzung als Workstation, Anschluss und Aufnahme als DAW am Notebook auch problemlos möglich. Die Qualität ist, wie von Roland zu erwarten okay. Was mir besser gefallen würde. Ist aber optional. Das Auswahlrad könnte einen Millimeter weiter hervorstehen und etwas versetzt sein. Ich greife häufig ins Leere. Muss wohl noch üben ;-) Die rosa beleuchteten Pads und die rot beleuchteten Wheels. Nicht meine Farben. Kann man aber abschalten. Touchpad hochauflösend, gut ablesbar. Aber man muss doch genau zielen, das man richtig trifft. Alternativ kann man über die Pfeiltasten oder Knobs steuern.

Almost perfect. I only miss aftertouch on the keys.
