i am INTRIQUED by gadgets and normal everyday items showcased in a totally different format and this "NIXIE TUBE DESK CLOCK" is perfect for people with those preferences. Saw this on my nephew's wish list and had to have it! So got it for his birthday (and to satisfy my own curiosity!) He was thrilled and LOVED it! Me too! It is so simple in design - and a bit o a "space age look" and goes well with the spaceman robot on his desk. Easy to assemble and yet so versatile internally that it piques your interest the moment you see it.... you say - what is that? It is a clock - a modern looking one or has fonts to create an old world look - or it can be a photo album and you can personalize it. You can change fonts and colors for the letters and numbers to what you suits you ... like the "matrix" by touch of a button. You can set up pictures in the tubes to showcase family, friends and events - special things - while you are working. Oh all kinds of stuff! He is still playing with it and learning what all he can do with it and I'm still excited to see what he's learned so we'll have to come back and update you. The price was great for the joy in getting and giving this gift! Great gift for that creative person in your life that you have no clue what to get them. It has a lot of versatility and potentials (sound/music) can be added and for your personalization if interested that he hasn't even gotten to yet! and yes, keeps accurate time - any way you want to see it. Personalize it with bright crisp clear fonts/numbers that can be changed easily any time you want to create a different look or one that would serve better as a softer night light. I am pleased with this purchase and the product and the joy it brought in the giving and receiving.

As an Electronic Enthusiast, and working with Nixie Tube Displays in Industry, back in the 80s, I was intrigued. Did some research and found a few options online. Just to be clear - These are not real Nixie Tubes, they're IPS Displays. If you are looking for an authentic Nixie Tube Display, be prepared to spend $300 to $500, depending on the model and options. For my budget, this product is the best choice! The packaging was top notch; all components were in separate containers, well protected. In addition, the kit included a spare IPS Display and (2) extra 3M double-sided tape rings for securing the Quartz Tubes to the base. Assembly was easy. Take your time and read the instructions carefully! Once the (6) IPS Displays are installed, power up the unit, to insure all (6) displays are working, BEFORE securing the Quartz Tubes to the base. The only issue I had was removing the backing from the 3M double-sided tape rings. I used a sharp knife and tweezers to remove the backing. Once fully assembled follow the Network Configuration Instructions. Download the Network Configuration Video Guide, from the QR Code, in the manual. I watched the video several times before attempted the setup the network. Just take your time and be patient. After a couple of attempts, I was able to connect and setup the clock. There are so many options! Different Clock Displays, Alarm Function, Back Light Options, Modes, Photo Album, Sound Effects, etc. I really like both the Matrix display / sound effect at power-up of the clock. I received an email from them today, asking if I needed addition help setting up the network. In my opinion, if you are looking for a programmable clock display, with lots of options, at a little over $100 - This is the one!

Excellent packaging. Best I've seen in a while. Manual is of little help setting up (once you find the English). QR's are TINY. I've set a LOT of clocks, but this one was impossible - I could set the time/date easily, but it won't display when done. All it does is play that Matrix video which was cool the first few times, but gets annoying real fast. One video mentioned "double clicking one of the set buttons but it does nothing. All the clocks seen in videos are slightly different than the one I got. I'll probably return it, but too bad. Its a very well engineered, and good looking device.

It is nice looking and was easy to assemble. The directions, as others have said, are terrible. The print is extremely small and directions to set the date, time and other details are even worse. If you are a patient person I would recommend this clock but if not, buy something else as it is a pain in the butt to set up.

This clock is beautiful, looks so cool and easy to assemble. I read someone review about how difficult to set it up. I, also, experience the same when I first set it up. However, after contact Adventurers After-Sales Team, Joseph, he told me that a new cell phone control function added. He provides instructions how to explore the options. There are more than six dials available. When you use your cell phone or IPAD to search for the WIFI (with the suffix TubesA_????) emitted by the clock, and then your cell phone will automatically jump to the following web page 192.168.4.1. You need to log in the IP (192.168.4.1) under the unified LAN with the browser and the control interface will come up. You can replace each default six dials with multiple dials selection and will see more options on the interface. I advise that you should contact Adventurers After-Sales Team if you have any issue.

Mobile setting software is buggy. Otherwise, the product is good.

This clock is beautiful and easy to use. The idea of having tiny backlit LCD screens, one for each digit, is delightfully clever. The glass tubes and rear-mounted RGB LEDs add authentic nixie ambience! If you get bored with the nixie look, you can change the font or even show little pictures on each of the screens. The only snafu is that you need to use a Windows 10 program to get extra fonts or to load little pictures. Moreover, the USB chip they use needs a non-standard driver. Both of these latter items require you to download from a sketchy Chinese website. I couldn't get any of this to work and gave up. But what you are able to do without the software is very satisfactory. This clock is worth the money and is extremely nice. It works fine and you can change among built-in fonts without any computer or software.

This ersatz nixie clock appears to be well made and the case and "tubes" are very attactive. It's easy to put together, takes little time, and is exremely well packaged. That's where the fun came to a screeching halt for me. It comes with a minuscule instruction manual with only the last 4 pages are actual instructions in English and it's printed in 2 pt. type. There is also some videos online, only one of which I could access for some reason, and it was less than a minute long. It is supposed to be able to do some marvelous things and the displays are capable of doing a lot, if you can just figure out how to program the gadget. I spent over an hour trying to just get it to do a couple of basic things, like run as a 12 hour clock and stop switching between clock and calendar mode. I was not at all successful. I don't know if mine was defective or what was going on, but I finally threw in the towel. I had no success in connecting it to my wi-fi system either. PLEASE NOTE that there is no backup battery or other means to store your programming in the clock, so if you unplug it, or lose power, you have to reprogram it all over again to meet our needs. This is one of the most frustrating and disappointing electronic gizmos I have bought in a very long time. I really wanted to like this thing and am actually disappointed that it would not work for me.
