I sent these as a birthday gift to my brother. He does fiber optics for At&t. He told me these cutters actually works better than some of the more pro style cutters. He really appreciated the gift?

I followed all the instructions, and watched several videos on how to properly prepare a fiber cable. Everything works fine until I tried to cleave the fiber. The tool never gave a clean cut I adjusted the tools as required, without a clean cut at the end, when assembled into the connector the internet never worked.
