Well built and designed
This product works well, it is well designed, sturdy, and provides excellent strain relief. Punching down cable into this panel was easy, but got a little tight as it filled up; you can disassemble this unit into sections and work them individually, but it wasn't bad as a single unit.No faults or bad ports were encountered.I would recommend this item.As to the other comment on reputability of Tripp Lite, they are a solid company and I have had no issues with any of the products I have acquired from them. I cannot speak to their service and support, but I've never needed it. I refer to them as the more affordable APC.

Four Stars
Worked very well and constructed of rigid material for punch down.

excellent quality, performance and price. easy to use, well designed, stay away from the cheaper stuff.
excellent quality, performance and price. the rj45 connector ports are molded into rj45's of six per block, and each block is removable from the frame for easy punching. then they easily slide and snap back onto the frame. highly recommend.

Easy to install
Pros: Easy to install. Ability to remove groups of ports in sections for easier punch down. Good wire support. Good company reputation. Amazon Prime 2-day shipping is always a plus!Cons: Price - Seems like it shouldn't cost "twice" as much just because its double the ports. My usage: I put two drops in every bed room, 2 in kitchen and 2 in garage, 6 in living room, and 2 in sunroom. I also have 2 drops for the wireless access points, and 8 drops for outdoor/indoor security cameras at home. You can basically find a connection within 10 feet of wherever you stand inside the house.Overall: I haven't filled up all the ports yet, but so far everything is working well. I like to update my feedback after 30 days and 1 year to provide a longer term review of the product.

It’s a good unit.
The two wiring methods displayed on the punch down block is confusing. It should have one or the other, not both at the same point of termination.

Great buy!
Quality panel. Bought with questions concerning legitimacy of brand. When received, I was pleased with its sturdiness and design considering the price. Comes with wire management and labels. Great buy for us!

Could only recommend for "lab" setups
The N252-048-1U is a good patch panel when first deployed. The issue comes when adding to it. There is no way to leave the panel in production and punch down on the bottom row. This is a horrible design in my opinion since you have to choose to setup a maintenance window or use a different punch down panel if the bottom row is to be used POST initial setup.I had initially really liked the panel, but have having a line go bad and not having a way to reuse the same punch down location...I just can't recommend it any longer. It gets two starts for the simple fact that I have yet to had a port go bad.I would recommend this to someone if they had a small rack that they ran a lab setup with since it *shouldn't* generally be a huge issue to take the equipment down for a short amount of time to re-punch a run.We have since moved to a Panduit PN: NKPP48HDY which it doesn't look like Amazon offers at the time of writing this. While this panel is more expensive it's also safe to use in a production environment where you want to be able to punch down any of the 48 ports at any time.
