i dont know what is meant to effect, but man it grows my hair fast. this was recomended to my sister and i used it and i started having long hait till my shoulders ( fyi i am man) and till my job started i had it long with the help of this oil. just to compare it took me 8-12 months 3-4 times to get my hair long till shoulders with this oil. go for it
