Burt's Bees Gloss and Glow Glossy Balm, 100% Natural Origin, Wine Wednesday, 1 Tube

I am picky about lip products. Colored anything often dries my lips out badly and too much color bleeds on my thin lips too. So I’m always looking for the right balance of color but not TOO saturated while also being moisturizing. This fits the ticket and the wine shade is beautiful!

Clinique’s black honey is a lovely lip color. However, it like many other lipsticks, contains microplastic which means that as we are eating and licking our lips we are ingesting those microplastics. I love the color but not enough to compromise my health. I do wish that this tinted balm by Burt’s Bees wasn’t as strongly fragranced but that’s a minor inconvenience I can tolerate.

I have worn Clinique Black Honey for years. Wine Wednesday is a great, lower cost equivalent. I recently moved to a windy locale, looked for lip color that wasn’t moist or sticky, so my hair wouldn’t stick to my lips on a windy day. This is perfect. Not as glossy as Black Honey, but the same color.

These are the perfect lip balm with a little bit of gloss to them. It’s perfect for everyday.

Loved this sheer color. However, it's constant need for reapplication just doesn't work for me. It is very pretty, but has no staying power. Like putting baby oil on the lips (this doesn't have baby oil in it, in case anyone says 'but hey' about that.) It's just too slippery.
