5.25V 3A Micro USB Wall Charger for Raspberry Pi 3 B+ Power Supply Includes 1.8M (5.4 Ft) Power Cord

I purchased and tried every one of the power bricks on Amazon which said they were the best brick to use with Raspberry Pi 3B boards. Every single one of them triggered the low voltage warning. Every single one of them caused the CPU speed on the RPi to throttle back to the point of feeling more like a Raspberry Pi 2. So, I discovered the hard way that bricks that work fine on the Pi 3B don't work on the Pi 3B+. The changes in the B+ apparently require a bit more voltage to be happy. I got tired of randomly buying bricks based on good reviews and purchased an inline USB circuit tester. Running the Pi 3B+ on my benchtop power supply fed through the tester revealed that the Pi was looking for 5.35 volts. All of the other bricks were rated at 5 volts but were actually putting out between 5.2 and 5.3 volts. Close but no cigar.Then I ran across this power brick which somehow never showed up in my original searches on Amazon. I noticed it was rated at 5.25 volts. Since the other bricks were putting out more than their ratings, I figured this one would, too. I bought one and it measured 5.4 volts. When I tried it on the Pi 3B+, there was no low voltage warning and everything ran at full speed. Finally! I bought 6 more and it's all I use now.So, if you are trying to get rid of the low voltage warning on your Raspberry Pi 3B+, this is the power brick you want. All of the Mackertop bricks I've purchased are working perfectly with the 3B+. If you're only using a 3B, I'm sure the others getting good reviews are able to work fine. But if you ever plan to use one of those bricks with a 3B+, you will be out of luck. For me, I'd rather get what works with all of the Pi models than worry about low voltage when I upgrade my Pi later.

Been getting low voltage warning in RetroPie. Nespi Case requires more voltage than standard Raspberry Pi. Been a problem for years but the latest updates seem to have made it worse. This works perfectly. No more voltage errors and nothing has melted or caught on fire.

The charger works great for my raspberry bi 3 B+.

I use a Raspberry Pi 3B to control a Prusa MK2.5S 3D printer via OctoPrint. I kept getting low voltage warnings in OctoPrint, even though I was using the offiical Pi AC Adapter. I’d read in forums that this adapter would solve that, as it is slightly higher voltage.In the weeks since swapping it in, I have seen no low voltage warnings and the Pi, and OctoPrint and my printer are working perfectly. Problem solved, and the solution was simple… my favorite kind!

Pros: works fantastic for rpi 3b+ overclock. I have a NESPi build and was hearing about a problem with these cases undervolting. That problem has actually been fixed in recent revisions of the case, but this allows me to overclock and plug as many things via USB that I want.Cons: that cord is nowhere near as advertised. I'd say it's got a good 36 to 40 inches, but for me this is not a deal breaker. For my use, I still have some extra room. The shorter cord will allow for less power lost for that OC or power issue you're having.

Used to have problems with the pi in my arcade machine not getting enough power. Lightning bolt icon appeared. It was a power supply with a toggle switch. Well, good news, this one has the juice needed and no more lightning bold. seems like a relatively high quality power supply. So far so good a week in.

I was excited to hopefully fix my lightning bolt issue on my Retropi with this power supply. I'm giving this power supply three stars even after replacing the first one thinking it was faulty. It is still a good supply and will be using it for something else down the road. The good news is it did clear my lighting bolt issue but, the bad news is my PI would never boot past the splash screen. It would blink green for a few seconds then the green light would disappear then stay frozen on the splash screen. Another problem I noticed was my heat sink would get too hot to touch within a few seconds so, I decided to go with another supply welcoming the lightning bolt back into my life.
