The bars are very stale and dry.

These are my go to protein bars. First they are clean bars that are “Bobby Approved”. Second they are so filling. I eat one for breakfast and I don’t even think about eating until early afternoon. Finally they taste great. They are chewy with no chalky taste or no after taste. I know for some they seem a bit pricey but you get what you pay for.

This review is for the Peanut Butter version. I started buying these about a month and a half ago, and I think they a great. They are easy to eat without being overly tough or chewy, but they have substance to them and are filling. With some protein bars, my stomach gives me trouble afterwards - sometimes from the ingredients, sometimes (I'm guessing) because of a large amount of fiber. With these, I have zero issues. They fill me up, give me energy after a workout, and I feel great afterwards. They have a nice peanut taste to them with a bit of sweetness, too. Sometimes I wonder if it would be just as good to eat a bag of peanuts instead, but I like these a lot. At $2/bar, they aren't the cheapest option, but that's not a bad price at all for an organic vegan bar. I'm a big fan and highly recommend giving these a try.

I use to eat these almost daily out on hikes and when needing a quick meal. The peanut butter kind. (Although I've tried almost all of them) I liked the flavor, the small business ownership, the simplicity. But I noticed I ate them too often, craved them. Like I was addicted. Because I was. Because of sugar. Not just coconut sugar, but brown rice syrup which is worse for you than the white stuff (table sugar or cane sugar). There is no reason whatsoever to use that ingredient, not even coconut sugar which isn't much better for you than regular sugar. Stop over sweetening everything. It's horrible for people's health and they claim it's a health food. 10-15g of sugar in every bar. We don't need to feed the sugar pandemic just because people crave it. We need to stop the cravings. Not find an almost as bad substitute. The bar itself is fine, even the ones that are stale you are just supposed to put them in your pocket and it warms it up. They get cold in shipping and storage. The ingredients need work. For it to be a truly healthy bar. Get coconut sugar and brown rice syrup out. If you HAVE to feed the addiction use dates. If you are fine with sugar, and don't care about it's effects on your health mentally or physically then this bar IS FOR YOU. Which is okay. No judging. If you are working your way down from a high sugar diet, this will be a light snack for you and not a big deal. If you've been eating healthier for years and cutting back on foods negatively impacting your health this bar is NOT for you.
