Very nice product and it sounds so good
It’s easy to use easy to clean. I just wish they made the motor available once it dies. It lasted about a year but unfortunately the motor quit like it just wore out and won’t run quite right. How do you say had miniature bearings on each end of the motor? It would’ve lasted probably forever.

The pump doesn't work with this fountain.
The pump included is a great little pump, don't get me wrong. But the bottom dish of the fountain isn't deep enough to contain enough water to cover the intake for the pump. Which is necessary for proper water draw, so as not to burn up the pump. It says right on the pump instructions that it "requires at least 1 inch of water to operate properly", and the dish isn't that deep or deeper as needed. Plus, the intake is located on the long end. Meaning, it has to stand the long way up out of the water to connect to the fountain. It should be on the side opposite of the outflow, or, on the long side adjacent to it, where the intake could then lay flatter and require less water. To make it work, a flexible hose needs to be attached connecting the intake to the fountain. Or, buy a different pump. Summation: NOT happy with paying nearly $30 for a lovely little fountain that doesn't work.

SPLENDID if you take a minute to understand how it works!
most of the negative reviews on here make it obvious that the user does not understand how it's intended to work. This is NOT A STAND ALONE fountain, it needs to be submerged and at least 2 inches of water so the pump is under the water, I purchased an inexpensive birdbath specifically for it, just make sure that your diameter is appropriate. It only works in DIRECT sunlight, it does not bank power to use on cloudy days or when the sun has gone down, but as long as the sun is hitting the panel it works a charm! I had three times through the entire day where it trickled down for a few minutes, and that's because the sun was passing over to wear a tree branch was creating shadow on the panel for a little while and it would tape her down, the minute the sun went back directly on the panel it went right back to pumping fully. For the price point of 25 bucks, it's more than perfect! create just the right amount of noise, does what it's supposed to, and plenty of cord space to allow for rearranging your panel until you find the sweet spot. Highly recommend this

Don't Over Expect
Arrived quickly & assembled easily. Missing adhesive referenced in instructions so I used Goop to coat the upper and lower "columns" to hopefully give a good seal so water pushes up to the top tier without leaking. Takes a day for Goop to cure. Two cheap screws under the lowest "column" with no discernible function that I encased in "Goop" as well because they will probably rust otherwise. Plan on using the fountain in a deep dish bought at a garden center for potted plants (it's 17.25 inches across & roughly 2.75-3 inches deep). Directions indicate at least 2" depth required for this little pump. This pump is a little smaller than my last solar fountain pump that lasted only two summers for $39. My video shows teal bedspread next to a deep hunter green plastic. I thought this would look like metal with the greenish teal patina. Not a deal breaker but glad I didn't spend extra $$$ to buy a birdbath to match a fountain color I didn't receive. Also think it may be wise to put rocks on the lowest tier to balance this lightweight fountain. Looks like a bird could knock this over & that's the end of the pump. Do NOT run the pump without water. If changing the water PUT THE SOLAR PANEL FACE DOWN FIRST to avoid burning out the little pump motor. Pump dimensions 1.25" W x 1.5" H x 1" D (pretty small). HOWEVER, if the pump fails, I think a replacement pump can be used by finding flexible tubing (if tubing is not the right size at a Lowe's or Home Depot, I'm sure a pet store that sells aquarium supplies would work). Will update after I get it running.UPDATE: works great! The birds love it but they splash a lot of water out so I have to add fresh water everyday so there's always enough water for the pump which is not a bad trade off. I'm happy I bought it. :) UPDATE 06/29/24: pulled it out of the garage about a month ago, cleaned it and used the same dish I used last year and it works... when it wants to. I've cleaned the solar panel and keep the water clean but even when the sun is brightly shining on the solar panel, it works sporadically. Birds obviously still like it because I have to clean the water daily.

Like this 3 tier bird bath INSERT
Only 4 stars so far as I have a couple issues. Also for people that don‘t read, this is an INSERT not a stand alone item. It needs to be placed IN a minimum 2 inch deep bird bath or other container of water. Thankfully it’s easy to figure out set up as the written instructions are poorly translated to English. You do need to weigh down the base with some rocks as it is not stable. It could tip easily if a bird lands on it or moderate wind gust. My biggest complaint is WHY DOESN'T THE SOLAR PANEL COME WITH AN ATTACHABLE ADJUSTABLE YARD STAKE! I will have to try to create some sort of yard stake to superglue to it. Shame on the manufacturer for not thinking of this. Price was a sale so happy with that. I will have to wait see how long it last, with proper care. Edit; I’m handy and have scrap materials and wood so I made a stake using a wood dowel and 2x4x 1/4inch flat piece wood. Then used liquid nails glue to attach solar panel. This then slid into a spare Solar steak system. I also spray coated the panel with 2 coats clear coat (Rustoleam 2xclear coat) to extend its life.
