Works great, well made!
I needed to fix a belt, and this worked great! Punched very easily and did the job with no issue (very sharp). Only suggestion would be to turn ALL the oval holes sideways so you can use them. Only one is correctly positioned. Made do by using the rasp included with this to lengthen the hole. A little dye and the belt is like new. Very sturdy and well made, will last a long time for sure. Like the safety lock. Highly recommend.

Safety for use
Excellent Quality & Very Versatile Tool! I’m really impressed with this XOOL 2-in-1 Leather Hole Punch and Eyelet Tool Kit. The build quality feels sturdy and durable, with comfortable grips that make it easy to use for long periods without hand fatigue. I’ve used it on leather belts, denim, canvas bags, and even thick fabrics for my crafting projects, and it punches clean, precise holes every time. The included metal eyelets are a great bonus, and the pliers set them firmly without damaging the material. I also appreciate the different hole size options, which make the tool versatile for various projects. The storage pouch keeps everything organized and protected. If you need a reliable hole punch and eyelet setter for leather, fabric, or other materials, this is an excellent investment. Highly recommend!

I love it, and I don't love much... (table-based leather punch review)
This little leather punch turned into the best investment for the money (Cyber Monday sale with an insane discount) I've made in a very long time. I'm currently working on finishing a "fursuit", one that involves literally hundreds of grommets and rivets. The material I was working with was broadcloth and Kona cotton, glued together with hot-glue. The broadcloth was the trim, with the cotton making up the bulk of the tunic. It was being punched through three layers of the broadcloth and one layer of the cotton. For the larger holes needed for the grommets, I used the 4.5mm hole, which is (barely) large enough for my needs. I was "satisfied" by the results, since the punch worked most of the time, and the rest can be teased out with a well-sharpened #11 blade. But of the 520 holes I needed to make in total, only 90 of them were for the eyelets, so I'm OK with that. But for the rivets... It's AWESOME! Full penetration and material removal for EVERY HOLE. For the math-challenged, that's 430 holes in total and all of the material was removed, leaving daylight showing through and no need for using an awl to expand the holes for the rivets. Moreover, the ability to chomp through from hole to hole without twisting, realigning or the hand fatigue from a hand-held leather punch was butter smooth and that process was FAST, taking 2/3 the time for twice the number of grommet holes I punched. 520 holes in under an hour, all perfectly spaced, with 430 of them, and the majority of the other 90 needing NOTHING to mess with. This being on fabric makes it even more compelling if your case-use is for leather. It's lightning quick and amazingly efficient with leather, even better than fabric. If you're still tearing your hand up on the hand-held model (which was a variant on this type for sale on the site when I bought this, I already had that hurts my hand now), I can assure you that your hand will love you for this thing. Your arm, maybe not so much, but the leverage this applies is more than sufficient reason to forgive a somewhat sore arm. (And after 520 holes, something's going to be complaining about that if not just darkly muttering in a corner). This will be REPLACING my leather punches for everything it can reach. It's relatively quiet, very fast, easy to use, accurate as hell and I can't be more pleased that I got it on a Cyber Monday sale with same-day delivery. Even if you can't get that deal on it now, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this to EVERYONE who's serious about their crafting. This was instrumental in reducing my hand fatigue, and keeping my apartment neighbors from pounding the walls by using a manual hammer-and-punch approach (which was my second option). Plus it did the job faster than a hammer and punch could possibly do. I don't recall the "full price" on this, but it's sturdy enough and functional enough in all the important ways, to consider as a worthy investment and addition to any maker's/crafter's tool kit. I DO NOT gush about tools very often. Very few ever live up to my high expectations. But this thing turned a dreaded step in a very long and complicated build of a fursuit into a dream in speed, silence, efficiency and functionality, and I can't give it more kudos than that. I give 4 stars to what I really like. I only give 5 stars when I have no reservations, no down-check, not provisions, no hesitation, to endorse a product. If you need a rotatory leather punch, GET THIS! Your life will be much happier using this than ANYTHING that fits in one hand.

Good quality and works but there's a bit of a learning curve to using it.
I wanted to give this 5 stars but there's a bit of a learning curve. It punches holes just fine but I already had a good leather punch that I've had for ages. I got it more for the eyelet tool. I love the case it came with and the nice metal ruler and eyelets. I wish the eyelets were the rolled instead of split style though but that's not a big deal and loses no points for that. I did order other eyelets when I purchased the tool so I have both kinds. Split are probably better for leather. The issue I have is that it's a bit awkward to get the tool seated properly onto the eyelet and if you press too hard you can smash your eyelet and make it an odd shape. Make your hole smaller than you think you need as well. I'm also not sure what the plastic/cardboard covers for the metal disc are for exactly. When the 5 run out, what do you use after that? It doesn't say what their purpose is or if they're "required". I "assume" you leave them off to punch a hole and put them on to do the eyelets? It does make a better punch hole into fabric when it's on there and you hear the click. It's for sure good quality and heavy from what I can tell so far. I just need to get the hang of how hard to squeeze and getting it seated on the eyelet properly. The price is good for what you're getting so I have no issues with that at all. Is it worth buying? Overall I think so but a hand tool with a mallet will be better in some situations if you need to install an eyelet into a tight space. This will be great for flat work.

Great item
This is a great product. No experience needed and its so easy to use. I bought an adult-size purse for my 6 year old daughter and needed to add holes to shorten the strap. This was perfect. Great having the different size options and the tools that were included made it even easier to use.
