Good cheap option
Very sturdy and easy to assemble! I think a piece of the top cover they gave me was wrong but I didn't need it anyway so tossed it, but it was for the light to stick to the lid cover. No leakage so that's good!

Great purchase! Reasonable price.
Very happy with this purchase! Comes with everything you need except decorations and Bubblers. Seals are sturdy and packaged well. I did add a 2nd heater to warm the water faster but not needed if you are patient and add warmer water at time of fill. Moved my fish from 30 gallon to this one and they have so much more room.

Filter and light are broken and wrong
The tank is fine, great actually, has lots of space for my betta, some shrimp and 2 snails, it’s very beautiful when it’s planted and I like it a lot. The major complaint I have is the lid and filter. I have had this fish tank less than 2 weeks and the filter is already ruined, it randomly starts and stops and stutters and makes this grinding sound often as well, I only have aqua soil as a bedding so I’m not sure why the filter is messing up. Secondly, the light is completely different from the instructions, it’s not a little strip of 3 small lights but instead a weird light bar that is an awkward size that doesn’t actually fit anywhere on the lid, I’ve tried looking up videos and everyone has a different light from me somehow. Since lighting and filtration are some of the most important things in a fish tank I want to say I am highly disappointed and regret buying this. I could’ve gotten a plain 10 gallon tank and boughten a light and filter separately for cheaper than this. Only unless you are a beginner with no experience or super lazy should you get this, but even then, just buy everything separately, then the filter and light won’t fail on you so early!

A recommended kit to get started!
Good starter set for someone wanting to get into the hobby or child. It looks good, is simple to assemble, and relatively complete. All you really need are substrate, heater, and decor of your choosing. The glass arrived clear and unharmed. The light is bright and adequate for the tank size. One star removed as the filter, while ok, isn't spectacular and can be a bit finicky and take a lot of minor movements and adjustments to get relatively quite (but is possible). I add cheap bio balls and additional sponge in it, a a prefilter sponge on the intake tube, and some rubber where is sits on the tank rim and rear to increase its effectiveness and decrease sound/vibration. $5 total and worth it! Much of the kit can be upgraded in time to best meet your needs. 10 gallons is a lot of water and heavy, make sure the tank is well supported and on something with good stability to prevent accidents. Important to note: A 10 gallon tank REALLY limits what you can keep healthy in it, and does require more monitoring than much larger tank since the cycle and water quality can quickly degrade. Research before choosing what will occupy the aquarium.

Fantastic 29 gallon aquarium
Beautiful 29 gallon aquarium tank. It is larger than I thought it would be. The hood light was different than pictured. It came with a one piece light than the seven piece light pictured in the description, but I think it may be better. I ended up glueing it to the hood because it kept falling out, so that fixed the problem. Other than that, I am very happy with the product. Amazon was fantastic with sales and delivery. Thank you Amazon!!!

Okay, I'm happy with my new tank but not happy with some components of it. I can't comment on the filter because I have 2 brand new ones I decided to use instead. I'm not overly excited about using a heater that has to be totally submerged in the water, including part of the electrical cord. I may use my old one. Now, the big problem: the lids. Who designed this set-up? There are 2 places you can attach the lights, the lid or the edge of the tank (my choice). There's a thin cord that has to run across the edge of the opening, so if you want the lid closed, you're slowly destroying the cord. It's going to be a hazard, eventually. If you choose to put the lights inside the lid, the cord runs across the center support and you'll have to open both lids to accommodate the cord. A note about attaching the lights to the tank edge: if you reach into the tank and even think about brushing your arm very, very gently against the light, it falls off, into the water. It's very hard to put back on. If I thought it wouldn't poison my fish, I'd consider Super Glue to hold it. I'm not happy that I will have to buy a different cover for the tank. Possibly very soon.

The tank is good enough quality. Instructions aren't super clear. The pump is definitely not whisper quiet. I makes a fairly loud humming noise in the background that is really annoying.

It’s a really nice kit where it comes with a net, tetra aqua safe solution, tetra fish food flakes, and the filter. Unfortunately the filter came faulty and very loud. The tank’a inner edges’ glue is visible and is not comforting.

The filter it comes with doesn’t have a flow rate adjuster so it literally just blows my poor betta around. It’s also really loud. Make sure you fill it up with water before you run it. The instructions didn’t tell me to do that and it was making an awful noise.
