In Close to Perfect, book 5.5 of the Montana Men series by Jennifer Ryan, Dex had everything going for him his senior year in high school. Star of the baseball team, college scholarship, and a girl he's fallen hard for. When an ex tries to frame him for a crime he didn't commit, his girlfriend Abby provides an alibi.. and pays for it by getting sent away by her parents. Ten years later her parents have died, and Abby is back in town, and the sparks fly between them instantly. Watching Dex and Abby rebuild their friendship and learn of each others past is sweet. There were so many raw emotions and tender moments - it left me wanting more of the Montana Men. Hot Winter's Night by Lia Riley is book 3.5 in her Brightwater series. When Kit Kane returned from his military service and joined the sherifs department, he didn't expect his high school sweetheart to refuse to speak to him. When he left, he took Goldie's heart with him, and she built an impenetrable wall around it. So getting snowed in with Kit and his entire family is far from ideal. When their forced to be in close proximity they both find their emotions rising to the surface. The more time they spend together, the harder it is for them to deny their attraction. The banter in Hot Winter's Night is witty and snarky - and I was rooting for Kit and Goldie from the get-go. Snowed in at Copper Ridge by Maisey Yates - Mia has spent all of her holiday's with her best friend and her family since she was a kid, and has always felt like a part of the family - except with Devlin - who she had a young girls crush on that never went away. Devlin has always been interested in Mia, but has kept her at arms distance. When the rest of the family can't make it to the cabin sparks start to fly. Isolated together for an entire night, it's impossible for them to ignore whatever it is that's between them. They both know so much of each other's personal history, that the foundation of a relationship is already there - if they can both trust that they can make it last. All three stories were sweet and romantic, I thoroughly enjoyed the anthology - a great book to snuggle up next to the fireplace and binge read! Review: A Christmas set of stories - Unrelated stories that are each interesting and romantic. Stories of Christmas that bring people together and are well written and interesting. I enjoyed most of the characters in these stories and how they learn to accept themselves and each other.

Good read
I loved all 3 stories but Lia Riley’s story was my favorite but I didn’t know it was a 3 1/2 book from her Brightwater series of the KANE brothers so I had to buy 3 Brightwater books to get a better understanding of the KANE brothers and if you don’t know about the Brightwater series buy them you won’t be disappointed it gives a better view at the KANE brothers and Kit and Goldie’s past GREAT Read loved all stories

Good read. But could have been better
Good read. But could have been better. It was an easy story to get through but not much meat.

Awesome second chance.
I bought this book for the story by Jennifer Ryan. I cried so hard. Abby didn’t have good parents, I really ached for what she went through. Even knowing what they were like, she still did the right thing for Dex. But he misses out and now she’s back in town with a shocking surprise. It’s such an emotional book and I loved feeling their emotions. Loved their happy ever after. I highly recommend this book.

Cheeky
Short sweet romantic sexy but short. Not much of a plot in these stories. Fun read. Sometimes you need to just read quickly Nd enjoy what you read.

JENNIFER RYAN'S BOOK IS A BEAUTIFUL LOVE STORY
JR is one of my favorite authors. As for the other two short stories included in the book (by authors Riley & Yates), IMO, neither was comparable to Snowbound at Christmas. It was a joy to read this beautiful love story. Was there intrigue? Convoluted reasoning on the part of some characters? Yes; there are usually ne'er-do-wells who can't stand seeing others happy & contented. More importantly, this short novel made my heart happy. If you like reading about good guys (male & female) winning big time, plus enjoying success AND finding true love, this book's for you. It was an excellent purchase (excluding the writings of Riley and Yates).

Snowbound at Christmas is a very entertaining Christmas themed read that features two second chance romances and one slow burn romance. The forced proximity by a snowstorm plays a pivotal role in each story. Second chance romances are my favourite trope and Jennifer Ryan’s Close to Perfect and Lila Riley’s Hot Winters Night are, in my mind, perfect examples of the trope. They are the perfect blend of anguish and hope with heartwarming happily ever after endings. The slow burn story, Snowed in at Copper Ridge by Maisey Yates, a bit of a departure from the previous two stories, was hot and enjoyable to read but could have done with a longer ending or an epilogue. All in all, this was a delightful anthology to read, especially over a cup of hot chocolate during a snow day.

It was a very cute family type book. A quick read, only 10 chapters. Based on a 24 hour time span, we find love, we loss love, we love again. ❤️

Good reads. Full of festive cheer and old fashioned romance. Nice to have strong women as well as hot men to read about it.
