Updated to add that I recently bought the pumpkin spice and this flavor is by far my favorite!! Not overpowering and makes a phenomenal pumpkin smoothie and iced pumpkin coffee! I really like this protein powder. My primary concern is the clean ingredients and amino acid profile but honestly the taste isn’t bad. I’ve had the chocolate, which is my favorite, I use the vanilla for my overnight oats, and the unflavored for smoothies. It’s pea protein, so it can be a bit gritty so I find using a ninja blender and some ice and water the best way to go with this. Post workout, I use two scoops of chocolate, 1/2 frozen banana, 2 TBS of PB powder, 1 TBS chia seeds, ice and water and it’s really good! I do find the vanilla flavor a little overpowering in general, so if you’re going to have vanilla, expect to taste only that even when mixed with other things like yogurt or berries in smoothies. If you are transitioning off of pre made shakes like “Atkins” or whatever, give yourself some time to adjust. These will be watery compared to those because you don’t have all the artificial junk making it “creamy” and it may not be as smooth textured as you’re used to but eventually you won’t even notice anymore.

You might ask these questions; Am I gritty? Yes! If mixing with water shaking it for however long your arm can stand will be beneficial. I've found that all pea protein is gritty btw and there is no pea protein shake out there that is not gritty. If grittiness is a problem then mixing with other fruit/veggies ice cream whatever will take that away. Do I taste good? Yes it tastes pretty good. I like chocolate so chocolate shake tastes like a water downed chocolate milk. If you add it to milk/milk alternative I'm assuming it would taste like chocolate milk. Heavy metals? Here is the thing I question the most. A lot of vegan/pea protein shakes will have heavy metals because the protein like in pea picks up metals in the soil. I like that this company talks about heavy metals and they do independent testing on their products. Now I have not gone to a natural path, to have my blood tested but if I don't want to put whey in my body then some heavy metals I will consume I guess. I also want to mention I like the added mtc from coconut which is important to add to your diet especially if you are vegan/vegetarian. Also, low in sugar. I'm type 1 diabetic and this does not effect my blood sugar. I like to keep my sugar intake around 20gr to keep candida low as well. Canadian company with most ingredients from Canada. .

I have an aversion to artificial sweeteners, and although the ingredient list goes to some lengths to mislead the customer. It says “fermented cane sugar”, but what they actually mean is Rebaudioside M (Reb-M), derived from the stevia plant (a steviol glycoside). The container says 1.1kg, and that may be correct, but looks like it’s filled 60% of the way (when sealed). See photo. To make matters worse, they don’t sell a smaller form factor so that the customer can try the flavor first. Oh yeah, and it is a little chalky, but that’s fine. To me the overwhelming stevia taste is unbearably disgusting, and ultimately the reason I’m (attempting) return.

I bought chocolate. I really enjoy the flavor, I mix it with lactose milk and sometimes use water. I will buy it again. I reduced the dosage the first few times until my body adjusted. I've never bought or used powder protein before.

Love the flavor and it blends well. I can pronounce all the ingredients and that’s what matters most to me.
