I can honestly say I am shocked. My dad is Indian and always gets saffron from India. Since he is unable to go this year due to the virus, we had to find it elsewhere. I was skeptical since you read so many people telling you about fake saffron. So I said for the price it’s worth it if it’s real. Well was I amazed. First - the packaging is so high end I felt like I bought caviar from Russia. The box is a nice wooden box that I plan on using for jewelry. Second - the saffron comes packaged in a glass bottle with a cork!!! Okay, so this is one thing I will forever use. How awesome and so thankful. The ones from India are in some small plastic container if that. This is a thick sturdy glass bottle and the cork is tight so it will keep fresh. Third - when I opened and smelled it I was hit with the freshest smell that was sweet and had such an amazing aroma. I was in the process of testing it. Fourth - soaked 2 strands in some warm water to see the color. I was blown away. 2 strands had more bright yellow color than any of the Indian saffron we ever had. It had such a color that you’d only need that much to color a large pot of rice. Shocked!!!!! Fifth - now this is the final test to see if it’s real. Taste..... Bam!!!! The flavor is so rich and strong. This is way more powerful than any we have ever had. The flavor is stronger and I only had 2 strands in there. The bottle is filled to the very top. It is a very generous portion. So in summary, I am beyond pleased and thankful. It says it is organic on the bottom of the box. Even if it isn’t, it is still worth it. I will be saving this to purchase again in the future. I also plan on sharing this on social media for others. Thank you so much. We can now enjoy our food again. Payasam will be so delicious now!!! Perfect experience with this seller. The saffron is exactly 3g and packaged well. Immediately on contact the hot water turned beautiful yellow/orange which is what good saffron should do. I would absolutely purchase again. Thank you!

Original: The tin is cute but not that full. When I weighed it, I came up a gram short which is disappointing given the cost per gram.
