Miller Electric 260486 Headgear, Gen IV

Bought this for my daughter who decided to follow in my footsteps. It works great. Very comfortable and doesn't slip at all. I admit I was jealous and had to get one for my hood as well. Be advised don't crank it too tight, just snug and use for a few minutes then adjust.

Received the right headgear and it fit perfectly. Much better than the one that came with the helmet. Upgrade with nice knobs on the sides (not the dumb star type).

Have yet to see how long it will last since I just got it, but absolutely love how lightweight it is. Great support and coverage. Fits great and lots of adjustments and seems of good build quality

The rubber grip started falling off the first week of use and the ratchet for tilting loosens on its own. When adjusted so the helmet doesn’t flop down on its own is set properly the helmet is way to hard to bring down from the fully open set position.

Needed a replacement head gear for my husbands miller weld helmet. This is the perfect fit@

Junk, brittle, breaks. Used it for 5 months Will not buy again

I got this as a replacement for the standard headgear and once I got it adjusted to fit me it worked great and I was very comfortable. After 3-4 weeks of use it started skipping teeth and the back pad would shift to the left and did not hold tightly I had my suspicions until I took it apart and was correct when I did. I’m not buying it again but it did feel great. It is probably best suited for a bench welder who does not take it on / off multiple times throughout the day or does not use the tightening knob a lot

Didn’t quite fit my helmet, had to change mounting studs and knobs on my helmet. Quality is good though.
