Surprisingly Capable Mini PC
The Beelink SER8 Mini PC runs impressively well for its size. With the Ryzen 7 8845HS, 32GB DDR5 RAM, and 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD, it handles both work and gaming effectively. I was genuinely surprised when it ran DOTA 2 at max settings on my Philips 34E1C5600HE 34" ultrawide monitor without issues. The setup was straightforward - everything worked out of the box with no troubleshooting needed. The system runs cool and quiet, even under load. Triple 4K display support works well for productivity. Windows 11 Pro comes pre-installed, and the port selection is sufficient for most needs. Pros: Strong performance for work related tasks Moderate gaming capability Quiet operation Easy setup Compact size Good connectivity Cons I would have liked to see one extra usb c port on the back, for 3 total instead of the 2 usb c ports it has. If you need a compact PC that can handle both productivity and some mild to moderate gaming, this is worth considering.

Love BeeLink mini PCs
I've purchased a few dozen SER5 for my office workers and they love the compact size and performance. If I had to give one negative it would be the slow speed of driver releases. These ARE custom designed PCs so I understand not as many updates need to be done, but I do wish BIOS updates happened more often and were easier to get. That is my ONLY complaint. They are very reliable and perform extremely well. I will buy more in the future.

Fast Workstation PC
I recently bought this SER5 when it was <$250 after coupons. At that price, this is a very good little mini PC. It is an upgrade from a 3 year old Terryza (no longer offered on Amazon) with a J4125 CPU. That PC worked fine until a few months ago when our internet seemed to slow considerably on only that PC, and not several other PCs in the house. It turns out that was a faulty 5-port unmanaged switch at the PC, but I used the internet issue to justify an upgrade. I paid about $186 for that Terryza in 2020 and about $70 more for this one. The difference is amazing. The Terryza served us well for Office, internet browsing, YouTube streaming, Spotify streaming, etc. We don't play games on any computer, so that was never an issue. This new Beelink is so much faster, it's pretty amazing. I use Novabench to benchmark my PCs, and went from a combine score of ~775 to 1,776. Sure my main photo editing PC hits just over 5,000, but for day-to-day tasks I can't tell the difference. FYI: The Novabench graphics test resulted in 14 FPS on the Beelink vs. 4 FPS on the older Terryza. There is virtually no fan noise at all. I have to put my ear to the PC to hear the fan and cannot hear anything with it mounted behind my monitor. I did have to buy a new monitor (I got the ~$100 Sceptre F24 - very nice) because my old cheap 22" Acer had neither HDMI nor DP and this Beelink does not have VGA. Oh well, the new monitor is also a very nice upgrade in our kitchen over the old Acer. The PC does produce some heat, but not a lot. I did notice that a flashdrive I had to use that had an older Adobe Acrobat Pro that I wanted to re-install from the Terryza got very hot after transferring only 725 MB of install files. That's probably more a problem with the flashdrive than the USB port, but I have yet to investigate. The PC I received had absolutely no bloatware that I could find (searching programs, services, start-up files, uninstall apps, and going through the Program Files and Program Files (x86) folders). If they stuck something in there, I can't find it. Overall, we are very happy with this $250 mini PC. Only time will tell if it will hold up, but for the time being it's quite, small, fast and seems to have a clean OS. It's not a gamer, but it is a very powerful unobtrusive little workstation PC.

Great computer
Great computer. I've used for about a year now. It's a little difficult to get set up with things like word and normal programs that come on a computer, but it works and is user friendly! Also like the color. Good value for the cost.

great overall, but does crash occasionally
For the price, this mini PC is pretty solid. It's tiny, silent, fast, boots really quickly, and can handle lightweight games like Stardew Valley with no problems. I haven't tried any heavier games on it yet, as I use it mainly just for streaming. I can stream videos on one monitor and game on another without any problems, which is exactly what I needed it to do. The only problem I've had so far is that it will suddenly crash on occasion. I don't know if that's an issue with the PC or with Windows 11, so I can't officially say the unit itself is at fault yet. Even after crashing, it fires right back up super fast and I'm right back where I was in just a few seconds, so it's just a passing annoyance. With any luck, a windows 11 patch will fix the issue down the road. Would buy again at this price point.

Issues After a Couple of Months, Complete Failure in Less Than a Year.
Was a good computer, while it lasted. Worked fine for a couple of months then it started having progressively worse issues. First it failed to boot after a Windows update, recovery, roll-back, etc. Nothing worked until I reinstalled Windows and that finally let it work. But only for a few months. Now it's having more issues. When booting to Windows I will sometimes get a watchdog timer BSOD. When it does get into Windows it fails to load graphics drivers and won't do a 2nd monitor. The PIN has to be reset every single time it boots into Windows. Half the time when I install something I get corrupt files or CRC errors. It has the newest BIOS. I have tried multiple different sticks of RAM, different SSD's, etc. I have swapped out every component that is swappable and even with a fresh, clean install of Windows, the issues persist. Going through all of that and the computer isn't even a year old.

Checked all the boxes for my needs
Previous SFF PC was not Windows 11 compatible and needed to be replaced. Prefer AMD over Intel, this had many of the features I was looking for. it was easy to install the M2 drive from previous PC. Booted up quickly, downloaded profile and was up and running quickly. Currently using 2 monitors but may add a third. It is quiet, heat has not been an issue. Much smaller than my Dell SFF PC. Well worth the money.

The Beelink SER7 Mini PC, AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS is a small powerhouse. I already own one and ordered an additional device for what I thought was a great price. The Beelink SER5 with an AMD Ryzen 5 5500u however is underpowered for my needs and not what I ordered or expected. I'm not alone in commenting that the 5500u is a disappointment compared to the 7840HS. The difference between expectation from the description and the power of the computer that arrived is unacceptable. My review must focus on the device else I risk it being blocked. However, I hope to be transparent and keep you informed.

tl;dr: this thing is a BEAST. get this instead of an all-in-one or the "laptop that i got to inexplicably leave on a desk, never moving but insisted on cause i *might* need it to be portable sometime". I will admit, i was a little skeptical taking this little guy out of the box. i got it specifically for the AMD NPU that comes built-into the 8845HS, cause i was going through a "i wanna write my own AI models" phase. i got a dual-HDMI USB4 hub, plugged all my doodads into it, installed Fedora linux, and it works perfectly! The performance is absurd for something this small, and this cheap! you've got DUAL NVMe slots, and upgradeable DDR5 RAM. the Ryzen 7 8845HS again, is powerful enough to really dazzle. if you're a graphic artist, an illustrator, or even in need of a backup machine with some serious power, this is the unit for you. i don't play many games, but Sonic Frontiers on the highest settings runs stably at the 60FPS limit. it might dip for half a second, but it's no different than you'd experience on a console. The cherry on top is that this thing /does not get hot/. under load, it stays cool to the touch, and the fans are barely audible. Even with 3 monitors attached, this thing does not stop or lag. Very cool! The build quality, like the performance, is again super impressive for how cheap this thing is. it's made of quality, machined aluminum that's fully anodized. i don't have to worry about silver scratches from accidentally rubbing a USB connector up against it! you can easily stuff this in a bag with your keyboard, mouse and graphics tablet for a portable tower setup. if you're the type who hates laptops, or works a 9-5 at a coffee shop instead of at home, this is SO easily packable. the included power adapter is long /enough/, but have your extension cord ready if you plan on putting this anywhere besides say, on a desk or mounted to the back of a monitor. alternatively, you can power this thing over USB-C. neato! The connectivity is just "okay", sadly there's gotta be cons, right? There's no Oculink, no Thunderbolt 4 (only USB4 @ 40Gb/s), and few USB-A ports. i hooked up my usb headphones to the front port, and i have a hub for my keyboard, mouse and dual monitors. it's alright, but hubs will be your best friend. i'm at some point going to try a graphics tablet on this, and i'll update this review on if it works. In summary, this is a fine machine, whether you're short on space or just would rather a mini PC. personally, i don't see myself looking elsewhere, even for future machines. My only ask is Beelink PLEASE add Oculink! pretty please! i don't need inbuilt HDMI, give me Oculink!
