Unbelievable Value All Steel 200m Diver
Bought on a recommendation from a watch enthusiast. The specification as described by Amazon (and to be fair by Sekonda on their website) is wrong. The case and case back are solid stainless steel and not plated brass. The bezel is plastic and not alloy .. I’m fine with this as the plastic is of high quality being hard, tough and matte in finish. It is hard to move but frees up the more it is moved. The strap is not for me. Very cheap Velcro and thin. Horrid. At 18mm wide you can replace it with a variety of straps. I think Silicone, rubber, or metal link would suit it being a diver. I put on this metal mesh strap that I had taken off of a Vostok Amphibia which I think suits it well and gives it a very classy look. Case size is small for a modern gents watch at 39mm round case, 44mm including the recessed crown ( which pushes in, not a screw in). Size is perfect on my 7in circumference wrist. In style and size it reminds me of a Vostok Amphibia. Maybe the design is based on an old Sekonda from Soviet era. It is very unusual to have a modern design using an 18mm strap like old Soviet watches. Clear legible unfussy dial. Second hand hits every marker spot on in a way that my expensive Swiss watch never has. Lume markings do not lume very much at all. Overall opinion? Well I paid £15.99 so it is the cheapest watch I have ever bought, but the quality of the build and materials in the watch itself is really very very good. It has a 2 year guarantee. It claims to be 200m water resistant and I do think it could be worn swimming as the quality is so good and probably would work at depth. I certainly wouldn’t worry about it getting wet, so it would make a great holiday watch that you wouldn’t worry about damaging or getting stolen. If you replace the strap which should cost up to about £20 (buy a good one… it will make the watch stand out) it will look classy like you spent very much more on the watch than it cost. When times are hard like now that has to be a win.

Amazing value
Firstly ignore any snob critics, this is a decent 200m diving watch with a 2 year warranty for a ridiculous price of £15. I was worried by the watch info with weight 169gm, ignore that as well, the watch on its own is just 59gm, 79gm with strap. On that point, the strap is complete rubbish. I have a 6.5inch wrist, slim but not deformed, and that strap has a minimum wrist size of around 7.5 inches so unwearable. The case is 43mm width including the button. This is the only thing that lets it down, not being a screw down, howerver it is well shielded by the case lugs. The case and back are inscribed on the back as both being stainless steel, not as info states a brass case - rubbish! The strap lugs are 18mm (not 20mm as info!) so get a decent strap and you are sorted. Only other thing to note is that the watch is activated when packed so battery length may be affected. However mine had an assembly date of 01/24 so no problems expected there. I looked at many watches on here and eBay for a watch for snorkelling and general wear and nothing touched this for price or spec, I was just put off by the description errors and elsewhere where it is listed as a kids watch. It's definately not that so just go for it.

Hidden Gem
A 200m dive watch for £15.99 just does not happen, well trust me it does and this watch proves it ! Full stainless steel case with screw down back, domed I assume mineral glass dial window, rotating uni-directional bezel, lumed hands and hour markers and a date complication. Now the downsides... No screw down crown (only push in using "O" ring gaskets to seal) and as many have said the strap is not the best but its ok, lume dosn't last long at all and the bezel has a mind of it's own (sometimes loose, sometimes stiff ). I did do a little test of my own to check if my watch was water tight by tying it on some string and lowering to the bottom of my fish pond for over an hour or so and it was fine, so I assume the 200m water resistance may well be correct ? The strap I replaced with a stainless steel bracelet I had from an old Casio digital which fits perfectly (18mm lug width) and sets this watch off a treat. Overall I think this watch would make a great holiday/beach watch if not a daily beater. Hope this review helps. EDIT: The date can be changed using the crown without doing a full 24hr rotation of the hands, just pull it out to position 1 and turn it anti clockwise until desired date is reached then push it back in.

Nice Watch
This is a bargain as all Sekondas are, especially at a discounted price. Well designed and easy to wear, feels rugged with plenty of weight. As someone else has mentioned the rotating bezel is a bit stiff but easy with a fingernail into any of the notches around the bezel. Perhaps it may loosen up over time.

Everyday beater
For less than £30 you get a reliable and good-looking everyday beater from a trusted brand. Bear in mind you have to relate this watch to what you paid though. Lume is acceptable, second hands hits the spots, time keeping is decent, you have 20bar water resistance but no screw down crown (but you won't do immersions with this one isn't it? It will be ok for swimming and beach wearing) , unidirectional bezel perfectly aligned but a bit hard (it's getting softer with the time) . The only truly negative side (reason for me to give 4 out of 5 stars) is the strap. Even for this price point , it's just rubbish. I changed it after 5 minutes I opened the box. So make sure you have a spare one or be prepared to pay another £5/10 for a nato or rubber. Width is approx 18-20 mm.
