Works well and as advertised
Have it on my Audi RS3 2017 (which has built-in wired CarPlay), it auto connects with my phone on start-up and the lag is low/minimal. I did not have the update the firmware so it was just plug and play and the blue colour Is very dark.

Desafortunadamente Carlinkit 4.0 no cumplió mis expectativas. Al conectarlo al puerto USB C del Cupra Formentor, de inmediato lo detectó el Iphone 11 Pro MAX, sin embargo nunca logré escuchar música de ningún reproductor, como Apple o Amazon Music.

I've got a 2021 Prius Prime Limited, only regret with the car is the lack of Android Auto. I've tried 3 different carbox options like this one before. This is the first one to just work out of the box. I plugged it in to the USB port, it throws an initial error but then asked whether I wanted to enable Carplay. I connected my phone to it via Bluetooth and it showed the Android Auto interface after about 5 seconds. It's worked like a dream for 2 weeks, buttons are responsive, auto connects when I turn the car on, maps are fine, etc. I'll update in a few months if anything breaks, but so far everything seems to work wonderfully.

Bought this after seeing it reviewed on a few YouTube channels. The reviewers stated that it was a minimal setup and even plug and play. I guess not the one I got. I plugged it in to my car and followed the directions. With my iPhone SE 2020 phone it connected and showed on my screen though a little fuzzy. Connected my Samsung S20+ and it connected to the screen although the icons were huge. I could not connect to amazon music or Sirius xm. I then tried connecting to cartube and got a a white screen. Tried to access the setting and I couldn't get to the product background. This was accessible via the iPhone but not the android. Went back to YouTube and a Korean video showed what to turn on and off to get to the background. After looking through the background setting I reset the device and tried setting up my Samsung first. Scrambled screen was what I got when it finally connected. I gave up. I requested a refund from Amazon and received an email from the seller with a 16 page troubleshooting guide. I figured I'd print it out and give it a shot. After changing 75% of the settings and rebooting after changing everything, I got my Samsung to connect and play music. Not all buttons would work on my screen when they showed up, depending on the resolution not all buttons appeared on the screen. I tried then to connect my iPhone and nothing but a black screen. At this point I gave up. I don't want to change settings each time I want to switch phones. Both my Motorola MA1 and my AAWireless to me 30 seconds to setup and have been no issue. I wanted something for my iPhone so I guess my choices are; try another device, buy one that is just for iOs, use a wire or just take my wife's car which comes with wireless android auto and carplay. Mine would have had it too but my car came with built in navigation and Sirius xm (2023 Hyundai Elantra SEL w/ convenience pkg.

Sometimes it doesn’t connect when I start the car and either have to unplug it for a while or restart the car to get it to connect. When it does connect it works pretty well. Freezes up every once in a while but will eventually catch up.

I don't write many reviews, but wanted to share that my F-350, which was the last year with only wired CarPlay, worked seamlessly with this device right out of the box. I plugged it into my truck, paired the bluetooth per the instructions on my screen in the truck and was wirelessly connected to my truck's CarPlay in total under a minute. I have the iPhone 12 with a 2021 F-350. It takes about 20-30 seconds to automatically reconnect to this device each time I start my truck. The Ford App is also fully functional using this device. There is a very small delay in response when interacting with the touch screen in the truck, but to be expected as it is acting as a proxy for the communications with the iPhone. Overall, an excellent product so far. I have only had it for about a week, so cannot rate the longevity yet.
