This is an excellent book and series for people wanting a multi- approach to language learning. I am a language instructor and view this a very effective tool; it is story based for interest, whole language vs only studying lists or charts, and the audio component very important for pronunciation and retention.

Excellent format, common language and not made for a child so mildly engaging! Bold new words throughout text, vocabulary block at end of each chapter and questions to make sure you understand.

This little book was helpful in learning to understand Spanish in the context of interesting short story form.

This was a gift. The recipient had received the first volume and loved it, and was very happy to receive this one. They say the stories are enjoyable and that the book helped more than they thought with her learning of the language.

Easy to read and understand , very helpful to learn spanish with

I bought books in English and Spanish and really liked them. Interesting stories and liked that at the end of each chapter there are questions for self-checking, and there are also answers to check yourself how correctly you answered all the questions.

Perhaps I am too much of a beginner, but with my basic vocabulary, there are still lots of words I don't know. I don't expect to know every word... I expect the stories to challenge me but these are a little difficult for me. Still I find them useful and will learn over time.

Great for reading/comprehension

Easy enough to follow independently to improve comprehension and vocabulary

Short, easy to read. Perfect for lifting Duolingo. You learn to lead full sentences in a context. Very well set up. You don't have to understand every word to get the story. This gives you a sense of accomplishment.
