These are great pens and they might cost a bit more than others but they write upside down. The ink flows smoothly, it does smear if you dont let it dry for a couple of minutes. Overall these are great. I have several pens that accept this refill.

These are a little on the pricey side but they write forever and as advertised in any position and on most surfaces with flawless results. (Well as flawless as a guy with 2 broken wrists can write.) I use these in my Zebra 701 pens to create a bulletproof writing instrument. They well tolerate abrasive surfaces such as wood and corrugated cardboard and are slow to develop any leaks around the super hard ball. If there is a weak point in the assembly it's the pen as I've had 2 pens come apart but the Fisher refill is still going strong. I have used these for more than 3 years and I've only run 1 out of ink. If your pen is an indispensable tool or are looking for an extremely durable pen I highly recommend.

This is genuine Fisher space pen refill, with a finer point than the medium that is standard with the pen itself. I like the finer point. It is still very smooth, and dark, but just a bit finer. Very nice. Too bad they are so expensive! But that is because it writes at any angle, over almost any kind of paper at any temperature I have tried so far. Awesome

Two of the most popular refill sizes are Parker-style and Pilot G2. They are very similar but Pilot G2 are a little longer. Aside from ink vs. gel options, it's seems medium point is more common among Parker size while fine point are easier to find in G2. The space pen PR4F is an exception, an excellent fine point Parker-sized option. I do really like the Parker-sized Schmidt Easyflow 9000, it writes effortlessly. But it has no fine point option. The Schmidt 5888 writes like a fine point Easyflow but it only comes in Pilot G2 size. So the 5888 has become my go-to for G2 sized pens and this space pen PR4F has replaced all of my other Parker refills. The PR4F purchased here have been legit and high quality.

I love almost everything about the Fisher Space Pen, but the ink cartridges are my favorite. They really do write on anything except maybe smoke. If you had thick enough smoke, you could probably write on that too (exaggerating). These pens are made to write on any surface. I have used them to write on wet surfaces and even mylar with no problem. I like the fine point, but it's hard to see much difference between the fine and the medium point. They aren't super fine. Cons: They are not the smoothest writing refills made. I know people who like a super-smooth gliding pen, and although these aren't the smoothest on the market I think they are plenty good, just not as hyper-smooth as pens that are designed specifically to be that way. The ink can smudge a tiny bit on certain surfaces if it gets rubbed hard right away. Although the ink seems to be dry right away, like most traditional ballpoint pens, it takes a couple until the ink to dry completely. Toxicity? Who knows. It would be cool if they guaranteed that the ink safe enough to eat. but I don't know of any other pens that make that offer, so Fisher isn't behind on that. Pro: These pen refills will write anytime, anywhere. They don't dry up, they don't leak or skip or clog. For me they are perfect, even if they don't flow like melted butter the day you open them, they do work exactly the same 20 years later when you find one that was left in a box in a damp basement, and that is not an exaggeration.

You get what you pay for...OEM refill for any of the Fisher or Write in the Rain products. A little high priced but they work well, last a while, and quality isn't free. I always look for the best deal when I shop but when my pen runs out I will definitely get more.

This space pen refill is perfect. It’s exactly as advertised, although the individual packaging is slightly different than packaged (perhaps the image is an older package). But this is indeed a three-pack of the SPR4F space pen refill - black, fine width. It fits perfect with my two favorite pens: - Bullet space pen. I wasn’t sure it would fit from the packaging, but it’s a perfect fit. - Parker Jotter pen. The space pen refill comes with a plastic attachment. Make sure you push it all the way into the cartridge then it will fit.
