Black Edition Colored Pencils, Classic 1 Count (Pack of 50)

I absolutely love these pencils! Faber-Castell always delivers, but these Black Edition colored pencils really impressed me. They’re oil-based (which I prefer) and the pigmentation is fantastic—rich, vibrant, and smooth on the page. They feel like a high-quality set, especially considering the price. Honestly, they’re a joy to use, and I find myself reaching for them constantly. Highly recommend to anyone who loves coloring or art!

These colored pencils on black paper look great. They are creamy to work with and the colors are bright on white paper as well. Easy and fun to use and they hold up well. The price of the 50 pack is well worth it and once you use them you may want all the colors in the larger packs. You deserve to own a set. You won't be sorry.

I must say, Im really impressed with these pencils. I was hesitant after watching and reading reviews and Im glad I took a chance. I followed a bubble drawing tutorial on Youtube and by far these were the best to use on black paper (although my other brands are brilliant, I found these were more opague and stood out more). That said, I found them to be just as vibrant and bright on white, grey and natural (canson graduate) paper too. They layer very well, but keep in mind, most black papers are smooth and can limit layering. If you are looking for extreme vibrancy, ensure to use a smooth paper that has a slight tooth. I also found using white artist spirits over the colour, allowing it to dry, does allow you to come in with more layers on a smooth paper. These are extremely soft and I did find I had used quite alot of the pencil after this picture. They blend extremely well with mediums like white artist spirits and baby oil. In terms of sharpening, I used a standard Weibo barrel sharpener and an electric sharpener and obtained a very very sharp point, no breakages. However, keep in mind with a soft core, pressing hard on the paper with the sharp point does at times lead to the tip snapping, but its no big deal. They also work well with Lyra polycolour. I was so impressed with this paper that I will be looking at getting the 100 set and already purchased the pastel and neon set (local store here in SA) This pencil will be great for beginner artists as well as more experienced artists.

I wanted to give them the opportunity. I had bought the portrait and primary colors sets. And they were ok, I'm a Prismacolor sucker, but well price. So here I'm with these new colors, they are very, very good, not perfect, for my taste they do not blend thaaaat well, but okeish. The weird thing and I guess I missed that part, they are not rounded, so I'm getting a little time to get used to that. I tent to hard grip my pencils, so it's kinda hard for me. Overall if you are not the picky as me, they are wonderful colors, vibrant and practical

I bought these to test them out in comparison to my Primsacolor set, and price point made it an easy decision. They're not quite as creamy as a Prismacolor softcore pencil, but the pigment density is comparable. The colors show up vividly even on black mixed media paper. The set was presharpened to a soft but stable point. One tip was broken, but the lead wasn't anywhere in the package, so I'm guessed it was packed that way? The foldable stand that doubles as a packaging component is super handy, too. I only got the 50 set, but next time I feel the need to buy a new pencil set, I'm definitely upgrading!

The pencils are fantastic! They have a premium feeling and an amazingly texture for the price. They blend with each other really well and Im really surprised with the pigmentation of every color. You can create really nice color gradients. However, after a few layers, the surface becomes very shiny and no longer accepts any more color, so thats something to have on mind. Of course, these are not professional color pencils, but they come very close to the performance of many more expensive brands. They are an excellent option for any artist, and for an unbeatable price. The only negative thing I can say is that one of the pencils came slightly damaged on the outside, and the box was a bit battered. But I've tried all the pencils, and none of them have broken leads. So that proves they're really durable!

Very bright gorgeous colours that pop out at you . Still very bright on black paper. Blends well with metallic, which is extra nice on black paper. Very smooth texture. You can get them in a 100pcs box as well. Can't think of a reason not to buy. As and extra plus, the y are a lot cheaper here on Amazon.
