sehr gut: Design, Empfang, Lautstärke, Bedienbarkeit. Etwas enttäuschend: die Tonqualität bis 50% der Lautstärke. Ich hätte mir auch bei 25-50% der Lautstärke hörbare Höhen gewünscht. Aber die kommen erst ab 75% der Lautstärke, was aber für einen Campingplatz schon zu laut ist. Ein völlig normaler Breitbandlautsprecher eben. Aber zumindest bei Klängen aus der Reserve kann man ja den Equalizer der Quelle bemühen und das geht dann ganz gut. Es empfiehlt sich, geeignete Akkus und ein Ladegerät dazu zu kaufen. Der mech. Ausschalter ist nützlich, notwendig. und unbedingt zu benutzen.

It's difficult knowing the sound quality of a product without actually ever seeing it in a shop. It takes some to gamble and review for you to really find out if it's worth your buck but I can honestly say I am thrilled with my Majority Little Shelford DAB radio. I genuinely love it and although it is not the BEST OF THE BEST quality (as those, such as Pure, are far more expensive) it does give off a very powerful sound with moderate-high base and a surprising volume for such a small device. AA battery life tends to drain quick so if off on a picnic, be sure to bring spares just in case. However, if you're in house or plugging it into the wall constantly, you cant go wrong for £40! With a Bluetooth built-in feature as well, its not only a radio but a Bluetooth speaker which is so valuable in this day and age so you can play your own tunes if you get a bit bored of the radio, orrrr if you want to have a little pre-party rave! Admittedly its no where near as powerful as your big bass speakers so don't be expecting that, but for a room or a kitchen it is perfect and with the on-the-go functionality I was even able to carry it in my bag whilst travelling and tune into local radio stations on the go which was great when travelling on public transport or walking as you dont get the minor luxury of a 'car radio' when some are trying to sleep! Overall, a very well designed, packaged and trusted product in my opinion. If you are still hesitant, I recommend watching a few YouTube videos to see how it compares to your expectation and potentially heading over to the Majority website like I did to see if it is what you're expecting. Highly recommend this little fella, especially with its sleek retro looks!

This is a great alternative for those not willing to pay for the other well known brand of retro looking radios. Great addition to my kitchen, takes up minimal space, highly functional and looks great.

I bought this little radio to replace an old and very tired looking plastic type Roberts on my bathroom shelf. I am only using it with battery because of the bathroom use so can't really speak about the power lead and socket as not used it, and probably won't. I also don't use the Bluetooth feature as when I want this I have a pair of top quality speakers that I use instead. Im hoping that the 4 AA batterys last long enough as the old Roberts used 4 D type which lasted long, so will keep fingers crossed and update on this if needed. Pros The sound from this little radio is excellent and I feel much better than the Roberts. It is just right, not too deep yet not too treble'y, a really clear functional sound. I can now listen to DAB + stations such as LBC news, that I couldn't do before. Cons The preset settings will only seem to work and save for certain stations, say the BBC ones, which I really don't understand. If I try to set LBC in one of the preset slots then it just won't have it, very frustrating, which leaves me with the only choice of not bothering with the presets and using the selector each time, which to be honest I can live with, but shouldn't have too! Because I am using battery, I am mindful to battery usage, therefore discovered that when you use the stand by button on top of the radio, the set still keeps the light on the display on, with no way to turn it off. So to preserve battery life, I now turn the radio on and off using the switch at the back of the radio instead, to turn it fully off and preserve battery life. Something else that I am getting used to and not much an issue, but then again, shouldn't have too! Overall I have deducted a star for the rating because of the cons above, but I am still happy with the radio and just can not fault the quality of the sound, and the great aesthetic looks it gives. The cons I'll just have to live with but be aware, you may find these cons as well. When you take into consideration of how little it costs compared to the big names, Im more than happy.

Kepp in mind I've had this an hour now and I will do an update in the future. I've had a pure dab radio for over ten years and it suddenly let me know it was no longer compatible with the modern world and was obsolete. The rubberised caring had turned to glue and it was covered in stuck on dust but it worked... Until it didn't. I didn't want to spend that much again as its only for the kitchen but I bought this based on reviews alone. It turned up in the box which I thought was small. Then I opened it and thought, wow that's even smaller and a bit disappointing looking. Plugged it in and tuning was instant. The sound from this little thing blows my old twin speaker pure out the water. It's crystal clear and loud too for its size. It starts to slightly distort at max volume but anything under that is perfect. It look so tidy compared to that scruffy old thing I've been holding on to and fits neatly on the window sill. Very glad with this purchase and can't recommend it enough. Turns out it's true, size doesn't matter 😏.
