Such a great starter set for a kid or even anyone who wants to start learning. This was a very quick set up, looks great, and sounds amazing! You can use the included headphones or attach it to an external speaker. The pads are all great quality, feel very durable and have great bounce. Amazing set for the money. Make sure to tighten the all the screws to keep everything from shifting around too much.

My son loves this drum set, It was not the easiest to assemble but the instructions were clear. It sounds. great and love all the different options we have to use our phones or output to a speaker. Moving a pad is easy, so it is customizable to your kid. Great for a beginner.

Nicer quality than I expected! The pads are durable, the base also very nice. Everything tightens with ease using the included key, which is critical for loosening and tightening the pieces. Assembly took about 20 minutes. Included headphones seem cheap, but they, like the stool i see as a freebie. The sound and response here are really good too. The only catch is the foot pedals are super sensitive. The kick will often trigger twice, but still this is excellent for a small child or early teen.... My 5 year old has been taking lessons and has struggled to do simple patterns like hi-hat, hi-hat-snare, hi-hat, hi-hat snare repeatedly using just a starter pad.... Having a simple electronic kit with all the kit pieces placed correctly is HUGELY important to someone this age and after hooking it all up he immediately started executing the patterns he is being taught on a acoustic hit at lessons... Seeing that I knew this was a great purchase

The whole family loves it. This is great for families and kids. The fact that you can play silently is a game changer!! However if you wants to play out loud for everyone to hear the sound quality would depend on your speaker. We connected ours to a speaker and it sounds amazing. Parents and kids would love this. I think it’s a great value for your buck and makes an amazing gift for a child!

I got this for my 10 year old grandson’s birthday which he opened yesterday. His dad set it up, sounded great and he was having the time of his life until the cheap headset broke. I contacted AMAZON, they were very nice but stated I would have to ship the whole thing back for exchange or refund, the company would not send a set of head phones. My poor grandson was heartbroken. Thankfully you can use any wired headphones. We tried a pair I got for his iPad but the volume was low, I explained that how they are intended to be for children’s ears. I ordered a set from Amazon with volume control and his father had speakers and a bass amp that he hooked up which made him happy. It’s not quiet like I wanted but we can stand one day until the new headphones get here. His dad said the headphone that came with the set are very cheaply made, the wire is as thick as a thread so if you order I suggest you have a pair on stand by. I was going to give this 5 stars but with something breaking less than 24 hours, 1 is the best I can do. As I said be ready with an extras set of headphones if you purchase!
