Excellent Quality, Easy to Clean, Pretty Heavy
Our favorite pot. It is big enough to accommodate meals for two. We use it to make pasta, soups, stir-fry, or searing meat. The lack of rivets inside the pot is the absolute best feature. Cleaning the inside of a pot has never been easier. Be warned, it is very heavy, especially when full. My wife is unable to lift and pour from the pot with one hand. This was our first Demeyere piece, and we plan on getting a fry pan down the road.

Absolute perfection! Superbly designed saucier that will last a lifetime!
I do not have enough words in my vocabulary to properly pay tribute to the excellence of this saucier pan! There is clearly nothing that could be improved in the design or its functional use. It is phenomenally Great! Perfectly sized with a properly curved interior bottom that allows for proper stirring or whisking without leaving clumps at the corners. Stainless steel also lets you use metal cooking tools without worrying about damage. Some of its superior features include: 1. The handle is WELDED to the pan, not attached by rivets or screws. This leaves the inside of the pan completely smooth, with no danger of food particles getting trapped in rivet covers where bacteria could fester. 2. 5-ply construction that extends all the way to the rim, keeping equal heating throughout the entire pan, not just from the bottom. 5-ply is also lighter than 7-ply and makes the pot easier to handle...especially when the pan is full of material. 3. The lid has been designed by Demeyere to fit ALL their products with the same rim diameter...PERFECTLY! This is great because I have their 9.5" 7-ply fry pan that is the same size, and the lid fits like a glove! Awesome! 4. Cleaning the pot is simple, and while it may be dishwasher-safe, we clean and dry it by hand. If necessary, we use a simple light scrubbing power like Barkeepers Friend to bring the pot back to looking like new...EVERY TIME! Making a roux in this Saucier is a dream come true. In the few days I've had this, I have made all 4 common roux's to freeze and store for later use in various soups and gravies. The pan functioned better than any other I have EVER used, and I'm thrilled to have it in my kitchen. This saucier is often rated by professional culinary testers as the second best saucier on the market, just behind the La Creuset that is more than two times more costly and functions equally with the Demeyere. I can't recommend this Saucier highly enough! It is truly a fantastic pan, from a great company, and one that I expect to last for my lifetime! HAPPY!!!

Most Versatile Piece of Cookware I Own
I bought this large saucier for a second home as I have the same pan in the Atlantis series and I love it. I knew that anything made by Demeyere would be well made and I was not disappointed. It is still a good heavy pan, heats quickly and evenly and is very easy to clean. It is extremely versatile, it is great for sautés and stir fry’s as well as sauces. I have used it to make chili, pot roast , stews, pasta sauces, rice pudding, it’s even big enough to boil pasta for 2.

Cooks great, cleans up just okay
It's a great size and pan. There is some white freckles on the bottom which I don't enjoy for the cost but it's not the end of world either. Definitely wash with bar keepers friend, if you wash with soap you'll have a white bottom. Cooks great but it doesn't clean up like you think it should for the money you spend.

Excellent quality which will last and last!
Fantastic quality and less than the Industry version but still 5 ply. Has a shiny handle instead, which just add more sparkle. Perfect size for making rice or risotto for several people. The lid fits perfectly and creates a good seal.

This is a big, heavy pan
I purchased this pan after owning and loving a Demeyere saute pan. I have no doubt it's a great pan if it suits your needs, but I didn't realize just how big and heavy this particular pan would be. Someone referred to it as a wok in the reviews, and I think that's a pretty accurate description. I was looking for something smaller and will be returning it. The reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is I feel at this size and weight, it should have a helper handle. That said, I love Demeyere's rivetless design. It makes it easy to cook and clean without getting gunk in the grooves of rivets. The lid fits perfectly, although be careful setting it down on a glasstop stove with condensation on it. I did that with my saute pan lid and struggled to break the suction.

Heavy duty saucier/pan, nice handle, cover fits great, impressive fit and finish
This is an impressive pan - with a few minor caveats Pro/con: Pro -Great quality and construction -Welded handle, rivet free interior, easy to clean (could be a con - we shall see) -Well finished interior - great for sauces and pasta -heats very quickly and evenly -Low price for such a great pot -sloped sides allow for easy mixing and stirring -Good capacity Con: -Not sure hold long the welded handle will hold -Heavy - almost 6 pounds, not for the weak wristed especially when filled with water The best large saucier value I've found to date. As backup for that opinion, read the cookware reviews from "The Rational Kitchen", an affiliate of Amazon that does dynamite in depth reviews on a wide variety of cookware - hope that helps!

Careful... Demeyere will spoil you for any other brand
Once you've used a Demeyere pan you won't be satisfied with anything else, they're that well made. There is no other brand that I have found that even comes close, including All-Clad. I have two Proline and one 5-plus piece and they are wonderful to cook with, easy to clean (especially love the rivet-free interiors). Perfect even heating, high temp searing, stove to oven no problem, sauces, casseroles, eggs... I love these pans. Most of the time they go in the dishwasher but after high temp cooking a little bar keepers friend and a green scrubby and they look like new.
