The Golden Compass Graphic Novel, Complete Edition (His Dark Materials)

My son loves this lovely edition of Pullman's book. This graphic novel has rich and complex illustrations and a beautiful panel layout for the dynamic action sequences. The illustrations are well-arranged so a 10-year-old kid can follow their flow. Great present.

Anything about this series is amazing. I will never get tired of this series. This graphic novel was a cute adaptation that keeps the adventurous spirit of Lyra from the original.

One of my favorite books of all time! This graphic novel version is great, my daughter and neices really enjoy having pictures to see while I read it to them. I only hope they release all the other books in the series in this format, fingers crossed!

Awesome purchase

I enjoyed The Golden Compass film years back and have started the novel a couple of times, but I find Pullman's prose tedious much of the time and could never bore my way through it. Still, he has an interesting story to tell, so I was happy to find this graphic novel. The artwork is excellent, especially the scenery and attention to the dæmons throughout--things that simply cannot be captured in the books from what I've read. You really feel the experience these characters felt. And the narrative seems sound too based on what I've read. An entertaining, moving, beautiful graphic novel. I'd hoped this would cover all three books, but if the two sequels are eventually covered in graphic novel form, I'll buy and read them too.

Bought my younger brother the first book as a gift and he absolutely loved it. He's not an avid reader, and so I thought a graphic novel might be happy middle ground. He finished within days and so I immediately started looking for the other books in the series. I settled on this copy that contained the entire trilogy and he read it right away

Yay it got to my address. So glad to see it. We have severe problems with UPS so was really worried. My grandson will love it. Now I have to us USPS to send to my grandson so it gets there in time for his birthday.

I gave book 1, 2 & 3 of this juvenile appropriate reading to my grandsons. They enjoy this type of mythology. They gobbled them up.

Esta graphic novel é muito boa, mas ao contrário do que o título nos leva a acreditar, só tem o livro I, sem sinal dos outros dois livros da série. Deveriam mudar o título para algo mais honesto!
