Hot Shot's Secret Diesel Extreme 64 oz – Treats 160 Gallons – Concentrated Diesel Fuel Additive, Fuel System Cleaner and Injector Cleaner, Restores Engine Performance

Diesel fuel for finicky diesels is getting tougher and tougher for me to find. Lots of expensive junk fuel out there. My Jeep Eco-diesel is a beast, but have to be watchful for good fuel. This additive has helped huge. I’ve used it for (3) years, and even tho it doesn’t suggest it, I use it in every fill up. No problems in 100K, and it get better than advertised MPG, and performance. Wouldn’t leave home without it!

I used Hot Shots Diesel Extreme Clean and Boost when I had a engine light come on. I had taken my 2014 Ram 2500 for a oil change. It was odd that I had a engine light on when I picked it up. I was told it was most likely caused by a faulty EGR valve. After asking the cost to repair and what was involved I went to looking for a possible alternative solution. In my research I saw the sprays and cleaning that needed to take place. In my research is when I came across Hot Shots. It sounded like a good option, and thought what the heck. I tried the EDT but with the small amount of driving I was doing around town I didn't think it had enough chance to do the job. I was going on a 1,200 mile trip so I ordered the extreme. I added the Extreme Clean and boost and hoped for the best. I wasn't sure what to expect but was hoping it would do its thing and the engine light would be eliminated. Long story short I was around 300 miles into my trip and still had the light. It was about this time I stopped to refuel. To my surprise and delight the engine light didn't come on. I went on the rest of my trip and the light is still off. I am happy and a strong believer in the product. I use EDT on fill-ups and happy I was able to come across this product. Great additive. Use it every month once. Good product to have with you in case of filling with bad diesel . Clears system right away. Better than Lucas in my opinion.

Awesome additive

I own a 2016 BMW X3d. One day my check engine light came on with the reading of P02CF, whereby the PCV uses sensors to determine the required amount of fuel needed to keep the engine running efficiently. If the PCM cannot achieve the desired balance between fuel and air, it will set code P02CF. Initially, I clear the error log to see if the code would come back. After a couple of trips, the code re-appeared. Reading some info from a few forums, the recommendation was to treat the fuel system with Hot Shot cleaner. I pour about 6oz to a full 15 gallon tank, and the code never came back. I've since treated 4 full tank of diesel fuel, and the code has not reappeared. In terms of mileage gain, I normally get about 29.1 mpg in city driving. Since I reset the gauge, it has been holding at 29.6 mpg. I will give it another month or two to see if the mpg reading holds up. Overall, I am happy the code has not reappeared.

I added Diesel Extreme Clean and Boost to my truck’s tank, and the results were clear smoother idle, better throttle response, and it even seemed to run quieter. It’s easy to pour in, and one bottle treats a good amount of fuel. I like that it helps clean the injectors and gives a small bump in mileage. Great product to use as regular maintenance, especially before long trips.

I'm not one for additive as I believe most of them are snake oil, but this product is the real deal. As a diesel tech I have witness the difference this product has made on two different vehicles, of different makes, model and condition. One of the vehicles had sticking and party clogged injectors in which made it smoke badly. After run a full tank of treated fuel through , the smoke was almost completely elimated and the engine was significantly smoother running. On the other vehicle which was running fine with no visible issue, I noticed a fuel economy increase of about 100 km per tank after running a complete tank of treated fuel. I have since added this product to my regular maintenance intervals. However, be warned, this stuff smells very strongly, so avoid keeping it in the cab of your vehicle, because of it leaks, your in for a few headaches for a few months while driving. Even if you wash it out. Ask me how I know.
