When I decided I wanted to try to make my own lipgloss, I heard one name over and over: TKB! The Flexagel Lip Gloss Making Kit comes with everything you'd need to get a feel for whether this for you or not. The TKB Flexagel lip base, 6g of mica powders, 12 lip gloss tubes, little scoops, 10 pipping bags, and a vanilla flavoring oil. The instructions are super easy: mix 5ml of flexagel with 2-4 scoops of mica powder, add 2 drops of flavoring. Mix in the piping bag and pipe directly into the gloss tube. Add the stopper and cap and you're done! Easy as that. Kind of. I say, the first gloss I created exactly to the T. The red one. But it came out pretty light. Color pigment used was True Red/ Orange. I did 4 scoops but it still isn't really red more pink. My second one I played around with adding more flavoring drops about 6, and using a bit more flexagel, plus 5 scoops of mica. It was a shimmery nude and came out so pretty! This is easy enough for a young teen or preteen to do, however I still think an adult would need to supervise. Overall, for the money spent I'm quite excited and impressed. And yes, I have caught the lip gloss bug! My next attempt will be a lipstick kit. Super easy, super fun.

This is a nice kit that is very complete and all works together well to produce a lip gloss. I bought it as an activity for a 10 year old birthday and I will never do that again, only a few girls (out of 11) could successfully make a lip gloss on their own without creating a huge mess and having hands covered with colored lipgloss. Granted they did not know what they were doing obviously. This pigment is legit and the gloss base, being gloss, very sticky. The gloss does not wash off in the dishwasher (we gave each girl a plate to work on). I should have used paper plates as this is laborious to clean up. For very mature, methodical children only, probably 12 and up would be an ok age range but 10 years olds very iffy.

I make lip gloss and my daughter kept saying she wanted to try I order two boxes and they gone. She likes the colors and even use some of my colors and she always say my lip gloss is better. And I kinda agree the softness of it and not sticky!!!

I was able to make some lipglosses with my niece and nephew and they love the experience. I made mine too

package arrived nice and neat. love how well it was put together and the instructions too. very good. my only issue, the lip wand broke off when i put it into the bottle. the stopper was so stiff the wand broke. after all my hard work, i couldn't even try the color i made because the wand broke. it suddenly felt cheap.

I got this for my daughter, and she really enjoyed the birthday present! She thought that it was a great gift, as she uses all kinds of lip gloss, and making the colors herself gave her a sense of accomplishment!
