This is brilliant ! Only had a little while but already it;s opened various pickle jars etc over Christmas and even 1.5 ltrs of Volvic water and small 500 ml bottles of "pop", and done them all with ease.

I dropped a star for it feeling awkward on smaller tops, like condiment bottles. But yeah, total game changer for me in the kitchen. As the arthritis seems to be kicking in with my fingers, I thought a little 'muscle' in the jar opening department was in order. Glad I bought this. Fit's nearly all sizes in the kitchen, just twist the big handle to close the 'jaws' and keep turning, and POOF! Like magic the lids come off. It's a chunky, solid bit of kit that seems like it will last and is easy to use. The rubber cover just came off, but it's in a drawer anyway. I recommend if you are having problems with jar opening. Easily worth the money.

Bought for an arthritic relative. Apparently works and solidly made.

Does the job intended. Recommend for those with poor grip. Even does bottles

i already had a jar opener with a loose rubber band that you have to twist round and put into a holder. Thought this one would be easier, was wrong. not enough leverage with just the twisting top.

The rubber mat is very helpful holding my jar in place
