Cute necklace. The lack of star is due to the thick, heavy chain. We ordered a "T" which does have sharp edges, but overall a good value.

I bought this soccer necklace for my soccer playing 10 y.o. daughter for Valentine's Day. I always get concerned with purchasing jewelry online because you cannot assess the quality. Now, if your kiddo is anything like mine, he/she is a sporty mess. Goes to school, plays sports on the playground and comes home a mess...and at times a muddy mess. My concern before purchasing this necklace was that it would just break within a short period of time. However, it has been almost a month and it is still in great shape. The necklace itself came in a cute little bag that was a nice little addition. The chain is not thin and dainty but is rather quite strong. Additionally, the initial charm is also thicker than I expected. Overall, I have found it to be a very durable necklace for those active kids. My daughter only takes it off for soccer games, but otherwise she has worn it daily.
