Capacitor .022uf for Strat Tele Gibson Etc.

Just replaced the small stock ceramic .047 capacitor in my Telecaster with this .022 orange drop and it now delivers a richer, smoother tone. Very pleased. The orange drop is also much heavier duty than the factory fitted capacitor, with a smooth chunky casing and fatter wires, all finished to a high standard of aesthetic quality and feel. I can see why this would be more expensive than other capacitors, but well worth the money for the purpose - I am very happy with this actually rather cheap way of upgrading my beloved Tele!

I pushed it in an electric guitar circuit, connecting two pots—entry, without soldering. It sounds orange.

Its the real deal. I was going to open up my Squier Tele so it seemed like a good time to swap out the ceramic cap, except .... there was already an orange drop fitted. It can't imaging that there could be an audible difference between 2 Polyester caps so I decided not to unsettle it. Anyway: its not expensive so I have a spare.

Makes a clearly discernible difference to the tone of a Strat-style project guitar I've now upgraded. It was cheap - now it sounds expensive :-) The tone is really evened out through both of the tone pots. Will certainly use these caps again. Very pleased.

I reckon this is what Jeremy Farad had in mind when cracked out his first capacitor all them years ago. this thing capacitors just like a ringing a bell.
