The Fit: I am 6ft,165lb with broad shoulders, long arms and no gut. I wear a size MEDIUM like a sweater with only a Tshirt underneath. In MEDIUM it fits me with a trim fit and the sleeves are the right length for me. It fits me perfectly. To wear this as a jacket over thicker base layers I might need a size larger. The sleeves are attached at a sensible angle so it is possible to raise the arms freely and move freely, which is a very welcome feature, thank you Amazon! The Material / Stretch: I have three colors: the red buffalo plaid, charcoal heather and navy blue. The charcoal heather and navy blue are a traditional fleece that has some normal stretch to it but is not a "stretch" fabric. The red plaid feels more like a felt that doesn't stretch very much. I like them all but the red plaid is a bit tight in the elbows at first but does eventually stretch to fit. Warmth: It is a mid-weight fleece like advertised. I wear it indoors like a sweater. Pockets: The inner wall of the pockets are constructed of the same fleece as the jacket, so that creates two layers of fleece in those areas, making the jacket feel thicker in that area but not bulky. I would prefer pockets made of a thinner mesh or fabric but that isn't a big issue. The extra fabric adds some warmth that some people will prefer. Pockets are deep and have zippers so are both warm and secure. I've had these jackets for about 6 weeks and wear them frequently, sometimes with a vest over the top for additional warmth when needed. This is a nice item, no complaints so far.

Good jacket. Nothing fancy, but warm for moderately cold weather. I wear a medium to a large and bought the large. Fits perfectly. One negative, as others have noted, is that the inside pocket is not stitched up to make it usable. But for the fit, warmth and price, a good deal.

12/07/2022 reviewed again: I bought two Large at the very first time. I am 5’7” tall.177lbs weight. It fits me perfectly. Three days after I receive them. I bought another one for myself again and two for my brothers. This Amazon Essentials Polar fleece jacket is soft and warm. It’s thickness is medium, thick enough to keep me warm.. That’s why I would like to give 5 Stars Plus. I sewed the issue by myself. Amazon Essentially product lines are as reliable as just like Costco’s Kirkland brand. Love it. Large size is perfect for me. I would like to give this fleece jacket 5 stars plus. Everything about the jacket is perfect. Very resonable price,very comfortable,very good quality... But the huge pockets inside have not sewn on purpose. I don't know why. The other brand of jackets with big pockets never have the issue like this. Don't put your cell phone inside the big pocket. Suggestion to Amazon: Please sew the pockets completely.

I have a broken shoulder, I needed more clothes that zip or button fully in the front, as I cannot wear anything else right now. This is a nice weight material for a chilly day. It would make a good light jacket also, but I am wearing as an "everyday sweater." I'm an active, fit, mid ' 50's woman, normally a medium or large in a ladies T (need comfortable room in the bust). A man's XL in this garment was perfect, also important right now as I can't wear anything that impedes or restricts my shoulder. The quality appears very nice, and the fit is nice a roomy, but I'm not swimming, in an XL. It is sewn very nicely, there's nothing "cheap" about this item, in my opinion. I might buy another one, as the price is very reasonable and I am very happy with the quality (and comes in lots of great colors). Also from a female point of view, because this is a man's size, it is a little longer through the torso, than a ladies size would be, and I love that it falls slightly below hip, and is perfect with my favorite cold weather black leggings, which require a slightly below hip length for whatever I'm wearing on top, to look appropriate. The sleeves are too long for my frame, but I easily resolve this by cuffing the sleeves. I will definitely be wearing this after I no longer have dressing problems, is the perfect solution for me!

I bought this on a whim about a year ago, not having much in the way of expectations. Now it's probably the single article of clothing I wear the most. PROS -Warm, and layers well! I travel all over the country at all times of year, and having this fleece with me makes it easy to adapt. It keeps me cozy on its own down to about 50 degrees. Throw a light or medium weight jacket over it, it'll get me down to about freezing. With a good parka, it gets me down to...well, I haven't found the bottom of that yet. Anyway, it will boost the warmth of just about anything by 15 or 20 degrees. -Comfy! Like I sleep in it most winter nights. It's like someone made my favorite blanket into a shirt. -Versatile! I have yet to find an outfit that's awkward with this fleece. Looks great with a leather jacket, field jacket, peacoat, parka, tshirt, oxford shirt, preppy tie, old jeans, new jeans, chinos... basically I can wear it with anything but a tuxedo. -Clean! Meaning it always looks washed and sharp. Being on the road so much, I often only wash my clothes every two or three weeks. The before and after wash of this fleece is identical. -Durable! It's over a year old and still looks brand new. CONS -Runs a little large. I'm 5'9 and around 150 pounds. I got the small, but it fit somewhere between a small and medium. But I usually get my clothes altered anyway. After I got the bagginess at the sides and under the arms taken in, it looked fantastic! -The cord pull attached to the zipper broke off pretty fast. It's not a big deal for me though- I think it looks better without it. So much use and pleasure out of this, AND IT'S $20!!! I don't know how Amazon got so much right at this price. Get one. Get three. I'm just about to order another.

This is a near perfect item. What I like: 1. The design of the sweatshirt is near perfect. 2. The sweatshirt is not shiny like silk PJ's. 3. The sweatshirt is warm. 4. The material is soft and comfortable. 5. The price is somewhat fair. 6. There is no LOGO saying I want to show everyone I am an idiot and pay excessive amounts of money to be a walking billboard for (insert whatever company here) but I can be part of this crowd even if I have to max out my credit and go into debt at least I am someone. It makes you an advertisement vessel a walking billboard that you pay handsomely for. Educate yourself stop the nonsense. Its one thing to support and buy local things and spend excessively but all clothing is made in the same locations with essentially the same materials. These days we are not supporting anything other than overpayment and debt for our fellow man and ourselves. A worker making the clothing is likely still payed a repulsive amount of money in poor conditions and you help build empires to support this! "A Brand DOES NOT maketh the man!" 7. The full zipper nothing like having to shed this layer and having to pull it off over your head a full zipper allows easy removal without having your gut hanging out or having the zipper get caught in your hair. And if you have to hold another item in your hand while taking it off you can do so in comfort. What I dislike about this product: 1. Elastic on the sleeve and bottom I prefer the open concept relaxed fit everywhere. No more elastic please! 2. Zippers on the pocket are very uncomfortable for someone who frequently uses their pockets as I do get rid of them! 3. Material quality needs work 2 out of 4 of these sweaters are shedding badly and pilling up after 2 uses and a single wash actually they started doing this after the first year of 10 hours in a working environment just the rubbing caused it and my t-shirt underneath was also covered in black fuzz! Quality Control is needed! 4. The stiffness of sweatshirt it does not bend and flow as freely as it should mostly due to elastic and material. 5. The black coloring should be darker. Conclusions: This is a near perfect sweatshirt I may even buy more or try to get replacements for the faulty sweatshirts. I have found if you take a wide-toothed comb to the sweatshirts that are pilling you can comb it out and make it look somewhat decent again. (Not something I prefer to do but if need be I suppose I will.) I believe if you washed this sweatshirt a couple of times before wearing it maybe 3 times it may aid in the prevention of such issues as I noticed was cycle seemed to improve the pilling and shedding a little bit. I really wish elastic around the sleeves and bottom were gone to allow the sweatshirt to flow and move more naturally while active as I dislike how fashion right now seems to be centered around being a stiff. To buy or not to buy that is the question? Overall I would suggest this full zip fleece as one of the better bangs for your buck and it may be advantageous to support the startup of the Amazon Essentials clothing brand to ensure there will be good and affordable clothing in the future. I say probably buy this sweatshirt there is a 50% chance you will get a good one and to be on the safe side wash it about 3 times before wearing it. Note to Amazon: You guys are on the right track just a few improvements and you will be a home run product even if you need to charge a few bucks more lets do it and get it done!
