This is brilliant, easy to install and within seconds it had collected a load of sun cream scum. Cannot fault it and it's actually mesmerising to watch! Great value as well.

Helps keeping the pool clear at all times

Bought this for my pond as its considerably cheaper than a pond skimmer. Bit bright but I'll soon hide it. Brackets seem well made but I'm not using them. Works brilliantly!

This is an absolute waste of time. It won't stay in the pool no matter how tightly you screw it to the frame. It just floats sideways on the surface. Don't waste your time

This is a brilliant product but it does have its flaws, for instance if your pool is just a tad too shallow the filter lifts at an angle making it inadequate, also I would recommend getting the socks for it as the wholes are too big for the normally debris that is on the surface, the other issue is the size of the item, it is a lot bigger than the picture makes it look, which can make it an issue depending on the size of the pool. But for the price it's good value for money.

Excellent product and idea especially for flies and dog hair in the height of summer that hasn't sunk yet to the bottom.. I bought this for that reason and of course did not work with the standard 330 gph pump you get with most pool kit's.. So you will need to upgrade your pump.. Myself I bought a 1500gph pump for a 10 feet pool.. As the skimmer needs bottom pressure to suck on the debris basket to then skim the water.. And collect the surface debris.. It will not clean the bottom of the pool so you would still need and bottom pool cleaner that plugs onto a hose pipe.. I write this review as information on set up for the skimmer was difficult.. I hope this review helps other's..

Should have bought one of these sooner. Didn't realise how effective it is until i plugged it in and ran it for a few hours. It collects pretty much everything from the surface and i've noticed over a few weeks that the pool is alot cleaner and less things are falling to the bottom. Would highly recommend for easier maintenance and a cleaner pool.

Purchased this skimmer back in 2020 and about to use it for it's fifth pool season. One of the plastic latching bolts snapped last year and I needed to order replacements. But that's to be expected with plastic components that sit in the sun all summer. This year the connecting hose disintegrated, when I tried connecting it, again going on five years, plastic parts wearing out is to be expected, a replacement hose has been ordered. The skimmer works great and catches nearly all leaves and debris from the surface before they have a chance to sink to the bottom of the pool which means much less vacuuming, and eliminates the need to constantly skim the pool surface by hand with a net. I'm pretty sure a higher capacity sand filter pump is needed for this skimmer to work properly. I don't imagine there would be enough suction if trying to use it with the cartridge filter pumps that come with most Coleman/Intex pools. If your pool has two outlets, you will need to connect this skimmer to one of them and partially block the other to get the best results. I drilled a hole in one of my outlet drain plugs to restrict the water flow to that outlet and direct most of the pumps suction to the skimmer connection.
