Worth investing on this type of guard
Good quality and comfortable to wear. I like the fact they are longer than the cheaper fabric type that you can commonly buy, which incidentally do not protect just below the knee cap at the top of the shin for many people. Have recommended these shin guards to a few people now as they protect well.

Light weight shins, great for sparring.
Very light compared to the usual hard padded shins. This is something I prefer with my sparring. Probably not as strong as the usual hard padded shins. The trade off is worth it for me who spars and competes in local competitions. Certainly the middle ground between harder shins and foam shins.

Decent protection, a bit awkward
Quality is solid and padding feels good, but sizing is a little off. Did cause minor toe and foot cuts, so definitely wrap up underneath. Pros: Good padding, sturdy build. Cons: Awkward fit, can chafe toes/feet if unwrapped.

I love these
I use these 3-4x a week and so far they are holding out really well (had them about 3 months), no damage to the pads after repeated heavy use, and they look good too. I found they were a little small on the sizing, I bought a medium and I'm 5'3 160lbs. Since I've lost some weight I don't have this problem anymore! The Velcro is strong and they provide great shin protection compared to the 'sleeve' style shin pads.

Spot on
Comfortable to wear in class, gives good protection to you and the kicks recipient. Used for about 4 or 5 hours so far so can’t comment on long term reliability.
