Perfect computer even for advanced divers
As a rescue diver I have to say I love it. It's a very nice computer - for beginners as well as advanced divers. The main things I always check are: depth in meters, temperature and safety stop guidance (being 5m below surface and stay there is still tricky even if you are advanced)-which it provides at a glance and with sound signals. Even an experienced diver can get hitched in some drift currents and the warning beep with ascending or descending too quickly is always really appreciated by myself and buddies. And tbh that's all I really need. Have logged around 45 dives on in and was very pleased so I bought it for my father & husband as well. Easy to use with Nitrox too. I'm a passionate and frequent diver (had it nearly 1 year, 45dives logged) it gives me the information that I need and understand. I guess everything else would be an overkill. But there are so many settings (and even the port you have to buy separately - it looks like a interface from 1999 but still works) which you can get into but might not necessarily need. The other choice of dive computers I looked at started at GBP1000 so I rather invested that money in my Scubapro equipment and dive very happily with this one instead of knowing my heartrate or underwater blood pressure or Cholesterol :) And it looks pretty ace too. I recommend and love it!

The computer itself is brilliant. Out the box it feels really well made
Recently qualified as a scuba diver and decided to opt for the Leonardo after much research and fellow reviewers comments. I'm thankful I did! The computer itself is brilliant. Out the box it feels really well made, has a nice big strap for going over the drysuit and a large screen to display information with a protective casing over the screen itself for durability. The strap looks like it can also be removed and the puck integrated into your regulators which is a nice bonus. After trialling it at the weekend for the first time, it didn't disappoint in terms of functionality and ease of use. Before jumping in the water it allows you to plan your dive via the Plan screen which lets you set your intended depth and gives you information on required decompression stops depending on input. Air settings can be changed to allow support for various nitrox blends up to 51% in 1% increments which is also pretty handy. In the water, the screen automatically changes and provides information on your dive such as duration, max depth, current depth, next decompression stop and ascent speed with audible prompts for the more critical safety factors. I've not linked any of my dives as yet via the PC Link as I am yet to purchase the docking station (my only gripe!) so can't comment. Will update the review when the time comes! Edit: Purchased the PC Link and uploaded a total of 15 dives. The PC application interface could do with being updated, looks like something from the mid 00's. Information provided is great however, including tissue saturation. Since upgraded to a Suunto Eon Core as the screen wasn't great for those dark loch/night dives, but still have this as the trusty back up!

Amazon warehouse Disappointed: Actual Product Good
Amazon warehouse Disappointed: Product Good. -described as 'packaging slightly damaged' was actually ripped to bits and destroyed both externally and internally, more worryingly described 'as New' but had dive logs present. Moving on: The product itself is nicely designed, and the colours match the receivers other dive equipment. Functionality is relatively easy, via a single button, and works through logical button press steps. Can be used with nitrox as well as air, and has altitude settings too. Auto entry dive start and back light. Multiple dive logs stored. A software CD and basic Quick Guide is included. An OPTIONAL computer link is also available, but this is very expensive and of questionable practical use. Nice size, looks nice, and can be used as a vocational watch without looking like a huge dive computer! WOULD recommend.

Good entry level dive computer
Used recently for the first time on dives in Barbados. Easy to use, dive mode activated on water entry. Gave me all the info I needed, max depth/current depth and elapsed dive time etc and the ascent warning feature worked fine. Replaced a 15 year old Suunto Gekko which had failed and was apparently beyond repair. The full instruction manual is available on internet and this seems a great computer choice for the infrequent holiday diver like me!

Very clear display during dives
Really happy with this dive computer. Diving on air and have been able to pop it on and just head for the water. The display is really easy to read both in and out of the water. The layout of the information is very straightforward making it effortless to use. I have been happy with the maximum bottom time that has been given on my dives and could see this adapting quickly as I moved to shallower depths. The safety stop is also very clear showing with a beep to signal it has finished which is handy if you are hovering in a location with nice coral and fish to distract you. I will need to look at the additional features in more detail but hope to find they are also easy to use.

A great entry level Diving Computer...BUT!
This is greeat entry level DC from a longstanding well known name but it is fataly flawed. A new one will run for a couple of years and then you will need to change the battery. When this happens the unit will not come back on. I'tll make beeping noises but the display will NEVER come back on! Instant paperweight. The really sad thing is that Cressi are fully aware of this issue. DO NOT BUY THIS DIVING COMPUTER. Mine died after my first dive recently in St Lucia. Insterted replacement battery and NOTHING. DEAD.NADA! Cressi pull your finger out and fix this nonsense! Shearwater here I come. Update: I managed to track down A Cressi reresentative in the UK. They asked me to send in my DC and within days they had repaired it and retuened it to me completely FOC. So Kudos to Cressi UK for excellent customer service. Still doesn't address the underlying issue though that on the first battery change this DC will stop working and will need to be returned to the manufacturer! Which is a shame cos it's a great recreational DC.
