Good quality Non-steel toecap boots
I was expecting these to come with a steel toecap, as the picture of the boot clearly shows the boot to have an internal toecap. Never the less these are a nice fitting and comfortable pair of boots. I've been wearing them nearly everyday since I bought them in February 2019, so 4 months in and they're still going strong as they should, nothings fallen off, collapsed of broken - yet (nothing lasts forever). I have inserted a gel insole into both of these as the steel shank does nothing to help the fatigue in my feet. The only real problem, as others have mentioned, is the nylon stitching on the inside, at the top of the zip, it is very rough and continues to chaff on my legs, if I don't roll the tops of my socks over the rim of the boots - this also stops my socks diappearing down inside the boot and working themselves off of my feet as I wear them. For this reason and because the boots in the pic appear to have a steel toecap and these don't, I have dropped the boots 1 star. But I find they are still good value for my money. If you want to increase the waterproof qualities of this boot, spray them with Fabsil (the same stuff used for canvas/nylon tents), spray them all over, including tongue, zip, nylon panels and lacing area and let the liquid soak in and dry naturally. Boots can still be polished afterwards, if needed.

Highly recommended
These are awesome. I didn't know what to expect as frankly I've been wearing addidas and lowas for years. When my lowas were unexpectedly distroyed by a trip in the washing machine (don't ask) I bought these as financially I couldn't justify more lowas when frankly I batter shoes at work and they get covered in all kinds of disgusting Ming and ick. I am pretty much a sample size 7 1/2. I bought the 8s becuase these don't come in half sizes. I think next time I would get a 7 just becuase these are too big and are getting bigger where they are leather and they stretch. They are a little bit sweaty but frankly so is every boot I've ever tried. I think I'm just a sweaty person. I don't think I would recommend these for any kind of really intense, running, jumping, climbing, obstacle coursing but for daily wear so walking, driving, occasionally running and a whole lot of sitting. These are perfect. Easy to clean, water resistant (enough), fast drying and light. I would estimate they would last me maybe 6-8 months (but I am TOUGH on shoes) and my expensive £100 + ones we're lasting me maybe 12-14 months. So financially these make much more sense. (Not for the environment...) Edit to add picture and 6month update. I have had these for around 6 months. They are battered. Soles have worn through and are peeling away from the uppers so not waterproof anymore (they are also not sweaty anymore). Also the velcro has come off the zip cover and laces are a bit broken. Attached photo shows present condition. I am a slob and don't look after my shoes properly and when I do polish them it is will the black sqeezy stuff. They are COMFY but fit more like a Welly than say a trainer. They don't hug my foot and I can feel my feet and ankles wobbling about it them. Also if I do anything too strenuous my socks fall down and I have to pull them up again. BUT the zip up side is wonderful. I think I've always been a bit snobby about zip up boots (maybe becuase I do like a more snug fit) but the zip is sooooo convenient. I can just whip them off to; pull my socks off or when I get in or if someone asks me to inside their house. So I've been gifted lowas for my birthday and if money was no object, yeah I'd always get a big brand but if I had to pay out of pocket. I'd definitely buy these again

Buy a smaller size than u r
Boots r great just a little too big so if ur a size 7 get a size 6 otherwise u av to wear thick thick socks but apart from that the boots r comfortable

Could have been so much better
These boots offer a different story for the upper and the lower parts. The uppers are generally good, but the quality of the lower parts let the product down badly. First, the positives: I particularly like this design of boot where the tightness can be optimised by the lace while the side-zip enables it to be fitted quickly, which is very useful given the limited range of movement of one of my hips. Furthermore, I ordered my regular size and it fitted correctly. So far, in the four months I've been wearing them, I can't really criticise the upper part of the boots, other than two small details mentioned below. Now the negatives: 1. The outsole of the boots is far too soft, which means the feet can hurt when treading on bumpy ground, particularly cobblestones. 2. After approximately three months of wear, the mid-soles, which are also far too thin and flimsy, have begun to break away from the rubber sole below. 3. The inner-sole area is badly designed. It's flat and soft, offering poor foot support, thus causing pronation. 4. The rubber sole can leave dark deposit marks on flooring. 5. The toe-cap area inside the right boot was finished roughly, causing an eventual slight collapse on the outside, making it look a little unsightly. 6. The flap at the top of the zip should be at least one centimetre longer to enable better mating of the velcro. The current design is prone to separating, causing the zip to undo. 7. Stiff nylon thread excess at the top of the zip caused a small sore on my leg, although I was able to cut it right back with scissors with no problem. UPDATE: I began wearing these boots in early February, 2019; it's now early November and I've just noticed a hole that has appeared at the rear underside of the left heel due to wear. This heel section should have been a bit thicker because it doesn't need to flex.

Size 13
I was a bit concerned about buying these for my son for 2 reasons. A size 13 can be very different from trainers compared to boots, and whether they'd fit his calf. He wanted some goth/combat style but they can be so expensive. He loves them! Because the laces can be loosened they fit perfectly just using the zip. They are so comfortable and look great

Not Impressed
I bought these boots for my work DEc 2024, not that I do a lot of walking, but they were a better looking boot than the ones provided and the side Zip was also a plus. 9 months later.... what a disappointment... walking out in the rain and discovered a chunk of sole missing and a split right across the sole... I have know idea why... then on inspection of the other sole... that was starting to split too!.. Whilst they are an inexpensive boot I expected more... NOT Impressed!!
