The Jackie Chan Collection: Volume 1 - A Must-Have for Fans of Martial Arts Movies
As a fan of martial arts movies, I was thrilled to discover The Jackie Chan Collection: Volume 1 on Blu-ray. This collection features some of Jackie Chan's early works, from 1976 to 1982, and it is a must-have for any fan of his movies. The picture quality of the Blu-ray is superb, and it is clear that a lot of care has gone into the remastering of these films. The sound quality is also impressive, and it adds to the overall viewing experience. Jackie Chan's talent as a martial artist and actor is on full display in this collection. His unique blend of comedy and action is what sets him apart from other actors in the genre, and it is evident in all of the films included in this collection. Overall, I would highly recommend The Jackie Chan Collection: Volume 1 on Blu-ray to anyone who loves martial arts movies and is a fan of Jackie Chan's work. The collection is a great way to revisit some of his early films and to see how he has evolved as an actor and martial artist over the years.

Nice Collection Of Early Chan Films
If you don't care for Jackie Chan's earlier kung-fu films, this collection is not for you. If, like me, you're a fan of those titles and want video quality that you have not seen before, this set is a no-brainer. Overpriced, you say? Ten bucks and change per Blu-ray for movies I've wanted for many years doesn't seem bad at all to me. Some of these have gotten pretty good DVD releases in the past- I'll grant you that. But others have only been available in long out of print pan-and-scan DVDs of junky quality. I'm happy to let those go now. Of course I like the movies that made Jackie Chan the icon he is today, and many of those can still easily be had. But I, for one, salute Shout Select for at last making these fun earlier titles available with great quality and with nice extras to boot. I hope this set sells well enough to induce Shout! Factory to keep them coming. PS: I have now seen the contents of Volume 2, and am disappointed; so much so that I probably will pass on that one. Shout! Factory dropped the ball, unfortunately.

People don’t get it
I’m writing this to help people who actually want to watch these films, not complain about what’s “missing”. This is a collection of Jackie Chan films. Some of his bigger hits during this time period are not present due to rights being held by other companies (criterion, 88 films, etc). It’s not intended to be a “complete” collection. Read the description for the films included. If they sound good to you, buy it. They all look great and are entertaining.

ONE FAKE CD IN SET
One Disc is just a different edited version of another movie in the set so kind of a scam but everything else is good For me Killer Meteors was just a different edited version of Dragon Lord. Kinda sad :(

3 versions of Dragon Lord!
I love Dragon Lord and this has 3 different versions much to my surprise. Looking at these films most have never looked better. I love this set and aside from The Killer Meteors seeming a little dark everything else looks great. After looking over this set I'm very excited for Vol. 2 with Operation Condor among others.

Haven't watched the movies yet, should be good on the restore but the packaging is kind of cheap for what it is. Thought it would come with a nice case but really flimsy (mine is cracked) bluray case with all the discs on flip wheel, last disc on back of case and doesn't sit very tightly secured , was loose when it arrived. Always expect to get a better quality case when spending this much on movies. That said I'll enjoy watching them and have the next set preordered.
