Good service, good product, amazing prize! REVIEW UPDATED
So when I saw this guillotine at this price I thought "no... impossible"Due to the customers reviews I thought why not.Once I had it all together it seemed by the position of the blade that it would not cut at all where it was supposed to.So I was surprised when it did. Please note it's measurements as the Guillotine is just a tiny bit larger than a A4 paper. So don't expect a large guillotine as I did.Seller probably explains the measurements in the description but when the word guillotine is mentioned to my mind comes my primary schools guillotine (big big big).So when it arrived I was like "owwwww baby guillotine" ha ha ha.PROS-Seems good quality-Ready in 5 minutes of putting together few bits and pieces.-Light item (don't know why I thought it would have been really heavy)-Clean cut of card, paper and photography paper-Easy to wipe clean-Will never bluff or crack with time as wooden guillotines would (specially if panels and not solid wood is used)-Fast delivery by the sellerCONS-It would be ideal if the blade came with a protective plastic sleeve as otherwise you need to keep it stored in its own box (for safety)I just hope the blade stays in good condition for some time. I will update with a review in a couple of months.REVIEW UPDATESo far in the past month, we have owned this paper cutter/guillotine, we have successfully cut:cardphoto papersticky back paperThe blade is still working fine and the cut is neat, straight and very easy to do.Just wanted to share, that we're still very happy.Normal paper cutters which cost more, has lasted less at home. ;)So this product has a 5 stars average review simply because it deserves it.

Almost accurate but great for the price!
Very nice product for the budget price purchased for. Very simple to use but alignment can be a problem if you're not careful. The guide is not 100% accurate because as you turn the screw to lock it in place it does move at a slight angle, To work around this I lock the guide in place and push ut manually by a few millimeters with my hand to achieve a straight cut. I took of 1 star for this but otherwise a decent cutter.

Very robust.
After looking at several similar guillotines I was a little dubious about the quality when I saw the price as similar ones were arounb three times. However I was not disappointed. There is no compromise on materials, the base is heavy enough to stay in place during use and is extremely sturdy, the blade is solid and the cutting motion has just enough friction to be able to cut paper with ease, without tearing it or dislodging it, and the guide can be adjusted and then fixed firmly in place.Very pleased with this and would recommend it to anyone.

very impressed
I purchased this with primary intention of cutting watercolour paper, a trimmer drags the fibres this gives a nice clean, cut very easy to use good value for the money , out of curiosity I tried on on fabric no problem with 4 layers so tried 8 layers sliced through that like a knife through butter

Decent for money but not proffessional
The product is alright for the money but it is not a professional guillotine, it is a starting point for young individuals who want to make a not very risky move. The size and weight is alright so it doesn't takes to much space and is stable on the desk. The materials is made of are durable except of the extra ruler which is plastic and it doesn't align properly. The blade cuts fine up to 10-12 sheets of plain paper. The only problem is that you need to be careful, align the paper and keep it stable when you are using it cause it might not cut a straight line. Sometimes one of the corners on the cutting side, might miss the cutting for 2-4 mm.

Good sturdy guillotine, however some minus points
The guillotine is a good solid one, apart from the stud to hold the blade has come out and won't stay in.The blade is large enough and sharp, cuts perfectly. The guides aren't quite clear from some of our A4/A5/A6 sizes, so have had to use a little guess work and trial and error, but its nothing major. I got it mainly to do my wedding invites, but have used a cheap little one on and off for years, so its a good upgrade for my needs.

Complete waste of money and I really wouldn't bother to buy
Complete waste of money and I really wouldn't bother to buy . Initially the "blade " (which is really just a thick piece of metal and not what I would call a blade ) was bent and didn't really make contact with the cutting area , after a little manipulation I managed to get it straighter ,but this didn't solve anything at all , it now makes contact but the so called blade is so useless that it simply bends the paper and not cut it right through , it did cut a little at the top but not from about half way down resulting in you having to turn your paper around , and if your willing to put up with that don't expect straight lines either , I tried various ways of lining up the paper , drawing feint marks to follow and could not get a straight cut . Sorry to say that too return would cost more than it's worth , so it went in the bin and I'm back to scissors 👿👿

Great value
Surprisingly good given the very low price. OK it isn't a Dahle, but it is a seventh of the price of the equivilent Dahle. The build quality is fairly solid but with a few rough edges and the paint is a bit lumpy in places. I fear the blade will probably blunt (quicker than a more expensive model) with time, but it can be resharpened and I only want it for light use anyway. The plastic cutter guide is pretty useless, but the marking transfer seems trustworthy. You need to hold the paper tight at the start of the cut to stop it moving, but not a big problem. Actually very pleased with my purchase and as long as you are not expecting too much, excellent value for money.
