Best value for my guitar needs.
This is my 2nd guitar. I bought a esp ltd kh202,and modded it out. The quality was exceptional on that guitar, paint fretwork, and playability. I added all the mods and it wouldn't tune above e flat.,so im buying this setup for higher tune playing, and classic rock, and leaving my metal shred guitar drop tuned for that metal. I got a perfect guitar, had 2 tiny scuffs on the back side near the strap button. Unnoticeable at even 5 ft away.the frets are smooth, and the edges are also smooth w a binding thats is clean and smooth as well. This is a great feeling guitar. It had a warm sound very vintage. All my upgraded parts will be here this week to assemble the final product. The factory sound was great ,and I prefer the bite of active pickups, so i opted to hot rod this model, and unlock the potential tonality of this awsome guitar.

Buy it, the price and the build are priceless!
Overall perfection!!! Great sound quality and build of an electric guitar! This will not let you down for what the price is, which I got at 209. Floyd Rose makes it even better with this guitar, also. Easy to play, it is a bit on the heavy side, but the sound makes up for it.

Straight out of the box? Worth it anyway?
Not a chance! And........maybe. This is my third IYV LP style guitar. All purchased from the Zon. First off, let me say this is NOT an ILS-300 with a floyd rose route. First and BIGGEST difference is that this guitar boasts a 25.5" scale length (fender like) as where the ILS-300 is a faithful 24.75" scale (gibson like) secondly, the body is thinner, and lastly, IT WILL NOT FIT IN SOME STANDARD LES PAUL CASES! And the ones that it does fit in, do not support it properly! Let me say this is the guitar I have been dreaming of for some time, minus the 25.5 scale length. When I unboxed it, first thing i noticed was a broken high E string. So, off to guitar center for a set of strings. I chose 9's, as the longer scale length tends to make the strings feel stiffer. When I re-strung it, immediately the High E was laying on the frets all the way up! I assume this is why it broke in shipping. The low side (top) of the floyd rose was standing 1/4" proud of the top where the high side (bottom) was flush. So a complete tremolo reset, truss rod adjustment, and fret level was in order. (The old green iyv lp's were pretty dern good straight out the box) this one is definitely a "luthier special" for sure. I did notice when I pulled the floyd rose out, I expected a barely metal plasticy "licensed floyd rose" but to my delight, it's a genuine floyd rose special! This tremolo on its own would cost you 100$!!!! And this 189$ guitar includes it?! MIND BLOWN! FACE MELTED! etc. The second issue was well known before I even purchased it. The dreaded "Destiny cnc" pickups. I thought ahead and ordered a set of Seymour Duncan AHB1N And AHB1B Pickups. They are Seymour's versions of EMG's 81/85. I didn't even try the stock pickups, as I have had 2 other iyv's and replaced them both promptly. Some folks like them, and they are 4 wire pups so if you want to get push/pull knobs and coil split, you can do that! However, my issue with them was, getting them to behave at stage volumes. So, in the Seymour's went. After about 4 hours of labor, this guitar became "what I was looking for" minus the scale length of course. I used to be a strat man, so it's okay. I mean, I'll live. But I must say it's now an amazing guitar, and I think I like the Seymour pups better than the EMG's. I can't stress enough, that this guitar has a ton of potential! But it requires a lot of effort to get there. Or if you pay a luthier, you're looking at 190$ for the guitar, 220$ for the pickups, and I assume, at least 200 for the labor required. So you're looking at 600$+ That being said, a kramer Assault is a very similar guitar. It is 400 some $, It includes AlnicoV pups, which are light years ahead of destiny's, but not nearly as good as the actives. Seymour, or EMG. And it is possible that, in this age of buying guitars sight unseen, the kramer may come in, in just as bad of condition. Doubtful, but possible. But after the work, provided the tech is good. There's not a guitar that will keep up. Huge les paul tone and a wiggle stick?! Fuggettaboutit! You'll spend at least 1000+ elsewhere getting all this. That genuine gibson like this will cost you 8k! And that ibanez is just a fancy strat. Also, I swapped a knob so I could quickly identify the bridge volume. And lastly slapped on my trademark "spirit animal" graphic. Who wants to battle?

Just ok. Has some serious Issues.
The guitar is just ok. If you plan to upgrade parts then it is an alright starting point. The finish is a matte black, however the majority of the top has significant orange peel that was not properly finished. The Floyd Rose has a lot of stuff built up in front of the saddles. Not sure if this was an old part or possibly my guitar was a return from someone else. The trem holds tune ok unless you use it. It will not return to zero pitch and will be sharp. The pickups do have a nice sound. However the bridge model seems to have tarnish on the cover as opposed to the neck pickup. Again makes me consider this item was returned. The bridge pickup ring has significant warpage. The controls seem to be for Neck volume, Bridge volume and master Tone. However, the middle control knob, for the bridge pickup does Not function at all. The bridge pickup is always on full. It will not reduce in volume or hit zero. The pot is bad and will need to be replaced. The tuning pegs feel relatively smooth. There are much better, but the point is moot once you lock the nut. I was excited to get this and did not have high hopes. But I didn't expect the instrument to be in such bad shape for new. If you don't mind putting in the elbow grease and throwing some money at it for parts and repairs then it could be a nice playing guitar when finished. Again, possibly mine was a return or overlooked. There was not any quality control in this model if it truly was a new shipment.

Other than the poor shipping method, I'm overall satisfied.
Guitar arrived with a giant (kind of deliberate looking) hole in the box. Thankfully the instrument was undamaged. Overall, it's a good guitar, and you really can't beat the price especially considering the features on offer which include a locking nut and a floyd rose. The pickups are decent and the setup was fine outside of tuning. The stock strings will get the job done until you have to change them out. This is now my third IYV guitar and I haven't been let down yet. The packaging and shipping still need improvement.

They are not packed very well
The guitar was playable out of the box however due to poor packaging there are a few nicks on the back side of the body. I have no complaints about the quality of the guitar that part is awesome, but they definitely need to package them a lot better!

Great buy
This is my fifth IYV guitar. It plays and sounds better than any of the rest. Some reviews mention needing work, mine played great out of the box. Frets are level, truss rod adjustment is good. Intonation is slightly off, but not enough to notice without a chromatic tuner.

Once again IYV put out an Excellent quality instrument at a reasonable price. This is my 5th IYV guitar and I don't know if it's just me or not but in my opinion they keep getting better and better! This time it's an amazing Les Paul style guitar with a Floyd Rose bridge! A really sharp expensive high end looking guitar that intonates very well! I minor set up out of the box and that's it. It stays in tune very well. The overall sound and playability of this instrument 🎸 is amazing, what can I say! I don't normally write reviews but this is an exception! This is definitely my go to guitar right now and I can't put it down I Love it so much!! IYV you've never let me down! Keep up the good work!!👍🙂

I will be posting some photos soon... but let me just stop anyone who says this guitar "needs work" to be good enough. I own over 12 IYV branded guitars, and let me just tell you something that you may not know... The company IYV have been building guitars in Vietnam since 1994. It is owned by a Korean man and all of the parts are sourced from Korea. There is no Chinese cheap crap on these guitars. All of the hardware is sourced from Korea which makes pretty decent hardware these days and is the same stuff youll find on most guitars under $1000. IYV only started putting their name on the headstocks around 2015. Before that, and still to this day, IYV builds guitars for many well known brand names. This black guitar with the Floyd Rose Special bridge might look familiar to some people and thats because they have been building it for a long long time, under a different brand name. It's actually an LTD with a few changes. Not make people know how much experience and worldwide brand name guitars IYV builds. That is why the price is so good for a guitar that is of this caliber. I don't care if you're buying a $3000 Fender or Gibson, or a $1000 Epiphone, or a $200 IYV or Monoprice... ALL, I repeat, ALL guitars need a proper setup from the factory. In the case of the more expensive guitars like a Gibson or Fender, the seller/store/retailer usually does a quick setup for the buyer. It doesn't take long when you've been setting up guitars for years. I have friends that work in music stores that can do a decent setup and intonation check in 20 to 30 minutes. Amazon is not equipped to do setups. They buy Fender guitars direct from Fender and sell them as-is with no check-over or setup. This is why if you look at the Fender reviews on Amazon, for guitars like the Mexican made Stratocaster, youll see setup snobs blaming fender for not setting up their guitars. Think people! It matters where you buy them! Anyway Im getting carried away.. I will be doing a full review with photos on this ILP-400FR soon and will update it. SO far so good. Its unreal to me that you can get this much guitar for such little money.

Great guitar. Plays great, looks fantastic, neck is very good. Love the look of the fret board. Nice light weight. Two reasons It is not a 5, are the pickups are a bit dark sounding , and the tuners have a bit of a dead spot in them. What I mean is, when going from loosen to tighten it has a delay. Same as going from tighten to loosen. Not a game changer, does seem to stay in tune, non the less. Seems like more of a negative review than a positive, but I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this guitar.

Bought this knowing it would likely need work, and that it wasn't going to be the best. Still shocked just how rough it was. Out of the box, was unplayable. Floyd Rose wasn't set up correctly, many dead frets. The nut slot was cut too low, so first fret was literally unusable. After about 3 hours of work, it plays and sounds great, but to pay someone to do the work you're doubling the price of the guitar. The good: solid build and feel. Neck is a nice shape. Real Floyd Rise special. Wiring is good, using Korean made mini pots. Pickups sound good. The bad: many, MANY finish flaws. Including scratches, bumps under the surface, and major gouges in the fretboard. Frets themselves are extremely rough feeling and fairly inconsistent. Nut slot cut too low (fixable, but requires work) Tuning keys are rough, and one was missing the nylon o-ring. Glue on fretboard. Inconsistent binding. Unplayable without hours of work. Even after putting in hours of work, I may return it. It plays fast and sounds good, but the many flaws make it tough to recommend.
