Q: What is the product number? i bought from another vendor on amazon that shipped an older version that didn't have american english!!

S/N 2415416040002335 is the number on the back. I bought mine in the US, but it speaks British English. We don't care though, my daughter thinks it's cool. I think it may be possible to download more languages from the company, but we haven't tried it.

It's not a translator. If you scan English words, it will read them to you. I hope this answers your question.

You can scan English, French. Spanish, German and Italian. If you want a translation pen, please review the C-Pen Dictionary Pen instead
