Maxxis Minion DHR2 Folding Dual Compound Exo/tr Tyre - Black, 27.5 x 2.40-Inch

Bought the dh casing version for an 8 day trip to Mozine/Chatel, had endless amounts of grip! Ran the tyre at 23psi most the week and never burped or flatted once. Truly an amazing tyre, best ever ever had on the rear (I gave it some punishment as well). Bought this version so it’s a bit lighter for trail riding back home and it’s fantastic as well. Maxxis all the way!

i bought a pair of these in 2021 & i'm just about to purchase another pair in 2024,i have had over 4000 miles out of these tires & still they have tread on them,they are just incredible

I have a Specialized Stump Jumper that came with Butcher Grid tyres. I run tubeless and after a good innings with the Butchers the rear finally succumbed to a flint inflicted gash. Game over for those bad boys with a whopping 3" of traction. So I thought I'd try something different on the rear this time. And I'm glad I did. These still have shed loads of traction but offer a lot less rolling resistance on the asphalt before I get off-road. There's high praise for the new tech in adding extra protection on the side walls and against flint and other jagged materials. I guess the proof is in the riding. If you don't hear from me again, I have either not had any bad experiences on these, or I have gone off the side of a mountain with a thud.

Fit my bike perfect 100% will buy again when i need some new ones and the tyres can be run tubeless

We installed this tire on my wife’s mountain bike here in the Colorado Rockies, where we ride frequently on steep, rocky terrain. This was a significant upgrade over the stock tire that came with the bike. The braking traction is excellent, and it feels very predictable on descents. My wife immediately noticed improved control and confidence, especially on loose and technical trails. Setup was straightforward, and the tire has been holding air well tubeless. Overall, this tire made a noticeable improvement to the bike’s performance. Excellent traction and control — highly recommended.
