If you are in need of portable, instant pain relief, then this is the product for you. I purchased these in anticipation of international travel, as I did not have room in my suitcase for a traditional heat pack. The set comes with 10 click-activated warmers--that are super easy to use. It's amazing how quickly upon activating (ie-simply press on the small piece of metal inside the gel pack), the chemical reaction occurs. Once activated, the pack begins heating, and it's ready to use. I like that it is small, and can mold to areas in need of relief. Once finished, it is easy to "re-set" by placing in boiling water (directions included). If you are wondering how this worked when traveling, in all of my hotels, there were hot water dispensers/teapots, so was easy to accomplish-by placing inside a cup with the boiling water). You can also place the gel pack in the refrigerator and use as a cool/ice pack. This is a great set for those in need of reusable heat/cool packs.

The package contains six pads. Theoretically, a click on the little disc inside the pad activates it and starts the heating process; however, my experience was different. I could only "click" three of the pads, and only one of them produced any heat. 1 out of 6. That's not good enough for me. That was how my first review started; however, I've since learned more about this product. Now, my only complaint is in how it's marketed. Clicking on the little tabs (called metal coins in their advertising) is a very poor way to activate the discs (1 out of 6). What you must do is to BREAK them however you can. Once you do that, you'll hear an audible sound, and the activation begins. As to the usefulness of the activated pads, I now have nothing but praise. They furnish the needed heat quickly and easily. Now, the heat doesn't last that long, but it is quite sufficient for the purpose for which I bought them: the treatment of earaches; however, I wouldn't expect them to be of much value for serious muscle aches, such as leg cramps. For that, something stronger and longer-lasting is probably required.

Worked great at a chilly formal game. They lasted quite a while. Not sure of exact time. They were boiled and reused easily. Two enthusiastic thumbs up.

I love these. I am a mail carrier and loading metal boxes in the bitter cold hurts my hands. I keep several in my car to rewarm my hands. If they are in a warm place they get quite hot. I boil them at night to have them fresh for work the next day. I often gift them to friends.

These are so great if you need 20 minutes of a hot pack and they’re pretty easy to boil in water and get back to original state so they can be reused. Just keep in mind these do not last an hour or two hours like some other heat packs but they are so convenient and I love that they’re reusable. I recently had a sore eye and this was perfect for a 15 or 20 minute hot compress and the size makes it really easy to boil back to clear. Highly recommend you wrap them in a cloth and boil them a little bit longer than recommended so you’re really sure that the liquid is back to normal. I took a picture of the small ones so you can get a sense of the size.

I ordered two sets of these. They arrived in a plastic shipping bag, and both boxes had fallen apart inside, and all contents loosely mixed with blue fluid / powdery goop — several of the warmers had leaked. I threw the soggy broken boxes in the trash and cleaned up the heaters. I some of the heaters were solid (activated during or before delivery). I wrapped up the heaters for gifts. Upon gift presentation, it proved very difficult to "click" or bend the activating disks in the heaters. My kids could not activate the disks. I had a hard time with them too. I returned all of the working packs. I was credited with only returning 1 set. I would advise everyone to not buy these.
