Easy Effective Solution for WiFi to Wired Ethernet Bridge
Good quality. Easy to setup. Provides effective solution for a wired ethernet connection to a non-WiFi enabled device.

Been in service for years
Been using this for years to connect my gaming PC to the home internet, as my motherboard doesn't have onboard wifi. Works brilliantly and never once had issues with signal strength or range, even at long distances from my router. The setup is fairly straightforward using the included instructions, and can also be used as a range extender - although I haven't used it for this. Definitely recommended!

Still not better than a dirty great big cable
TL;DR Problematic when used as a WiFi bridge connected to an ethernet switch with multiple devices connected. See EDIT below. I used to just run a big cable between 2 rooms. Due to an accident that cable got severed so I went back to a pair of Netgear powerline adapters that I have. They kept dropping out all the time and were super slow, so I thought this thing might be a bit of an improvement. It is, but just barely. My wifi is split band. There are separate 2.4GHz and 5GHz connections. When I set this thing up with WPS, it connected to the 2.4GHz network. Not ideal but that could be down to my router. Quick factory reset of this unit and then I set it up using "method 1" which just involved connecting to it with my phone and telling it to use the 5GHz network. probably wouldn't matter for most people but this is my wifi situation. Then, I copied a large file over this link. I used an entirely cabled (1 gigabit) connection as a control test, which gets a solid 110MB/s when copying a file from my server. Over the Netgear adapters I was getting about 6MB/s, with this unit on 2.4GHz wifi I was getting around 9MB/s, and with 5GHz wifi about 11MB/s. so 10% the speed of a cable, which beats 6%. That's nowhere near fast enough for streaming games to an Nvidia Shield/Steam Link/Console from a PC. This was ok to setup, and should be more reliable than the powerline adapters, but seriously nothing beats a cable. I'm waiting on a quote from an electrician to just put some cables through my walls. EDIT: The BT Smart Hub 6's DHCP server is deeply confused by this device. Explanation: I have: [Router] -> wifi -> [this device] -> ethernet -> [switch] -> ethernet -> [Server][PC]. So effectively 2 devices connected to the ethernet port on this thing via a switch. The router thinks that the PC and server are not connected to the network. However, DHCP requests come from those 2 devices and the router sees those requests as coming from this WiFi bridge, so the bridge gets assigned the IP that SHOULD be assigned to the server. This then breaks port forwarding rules, but only sometimes.. it depends on IP lease times and when devices request new IPs. Reaching my server from the outside world is a coin-toss when this thing is on my network. I've initiated a return.

Good signal easy setup.
Works a treat. I'm using it in conjunction with a PoE supply to link a security camera. The wifi signal is good. There's no dropout and the hub is at the other side of the house on a different floor.

Not suitable for ethernet connection to TV if you don't want to press WPS everytime TV turns off
Easy to install, but if you're TV doesn't have build in WIFi and you want to connect it to the Internet via the ethernet cable, it connects and works perfectly... but in my case every time my TV powered off, I had to go downstairs and press the WPS button and run back upstairs to press the button on the extender or reset it... I used it for a few days and got fed up with it!!! It's currently back in it's box, at back off the wardrobe where it will probably stay because amazon returns are not as straight forward as taking it to the post office .. so I wasted my money buying this as well as the ethernet cable I bought to go with it. I bought an amazon fire stick and it work's perfectly in my TV and connects to the WiFi, also got more apps on their to watch TV then my smart TV did... perfect upgrade for an older smart TV

Seems to work, but…
I bought this to plug my old YouView box into, as it doesn’t have wifi and the new router my provider sent me no longer had spare Ethernet ports. After plugging it in , the extender started flashing red for a bad connection and my YouView box wouldn’t connect to the internet - the router is on the other side of the room, so not exactly a long way away. Then I put my phone next to the extender and ran a speed test, connected fine and showed a speed of about 500mbps. Cue a load of faffing around with an extension cable, waving the connector around to see where it could get a good signal. Finally got it working, but far more trouble than I was expecting and we’ll see how good a long term solution it is…

Low ping, high download speeds
This little thing is pretty fantastic. Previous to this I was using Devolo Ethernet plugs, one plugged into the PC and the other plugged into the router. The plugs gave me a mediocre 20mpbs download speed with a very high ping, making it almost impossible to game. This dongle however gives me nearly 3 times the download speed with a very low ping of 14ms, which is perfect for gaming. This is pretty good considering my desktop is at the complete other side of the house to my router. Granted it doesn't give me as good speeds compared to if I'm standing next to my router or plugged directly in to it but what do you expect? As others have stated it juts out quite a bit but if you are using a desktop it shouldn't be a problem, and if you're using a laptop just be conscious and you should be fine. Overall very pleased, would highly recommend for gamers who can't plug via Ethernet directly into their router, and those just looking to stream and download movies.

This BrosTrend wifi adapter worked like a charm ! I got this wifi adapter for two purposes. The first is to use it with my old MacBook Air from 2010 when I need a faster connection (large backups or file transfers). The second was because I wanted to rearrange my home office and my PC doesn't have built-in wifi. The PC is currently connected using an Ethernet cable but where I would be placing the PC would make it difficult to connect by Ethernet. I didn't want to get a long cable and have to run it along several walls. By connecting this simple and affordable wifi adapter, my problem is solved. I want to note that I read the instructions and was careful to load the correct (and up to date) drivers before inserting the USB wifi adapter. This processed worked very well both on my PC (running Windows) and my MacBook Air (running MacOS/OSX). I also made sure to disable the built-in wifi on my MacBook Air so that there wouldn't be any conflicts and issues. I did a quick internet speed test on the laptop with the built-in wifi and then again with the BrosTrend USB 802.11ac Wifi adapter. I was happy to see that using the BrosTrend doubled the speed that I got. Given the price, performance (doubling my internet connection speed) and ease of use, I am very happy with this adapter and feel that warrants a 5 star rating. Kudos to BrosTrend ! ---------------------------------- Note: I received this product for free or at a discounted rate in exchange for an unbiased, honest review as provided here.
