Source Naturals Alpha Lipoic Acid, Time Released Antioxidant Protection* - 120 Time Release Tablets

I have diabetic neuropathy in my toes and I have tried a number of medicines like Neurontin/Gabapentin and other similar things like NSAIDs and even narcotic pain killers with little effect. My endocrinologist suggested I try 600mg alpha lipoic acid as some of her patients have reported good results. I take 300mg am and another 300mg pm and all I can say is the relief is great. I don't want the symptoms to to go 100% away because I want to have some irritation to remind me to not let my blood glucose get too high. If a person gets rid of all the symptoms (just the symptoms not the underlying cause) of diabetes it is just human nature to start slacking up because there are no apparent consequences. But I would say the relief is 80% where it was maybe 20% on any other drugs at best. I have used Source Natural products before and found them to be a good quality product at a moderate price, so this is what I tried and have continued to use. If you have neuropathy pain and you are not getting good relief from anything else, I strongly suggest you shell out the $20 to give this a try. Results were almost immediate. You will know in a week how well it will work for you. There are no guarantees but nothing ventured, nothing gained. Note: Although the picture of this product is wrong, the UPC and description both correctly state that this is the timed release formula. It costs a bit more but, if you want sustained effectiveness and not peaks and drops, this is what you want.

My doctor recommended that I use alpha lipoic to help calm my restless legs at night. Wow, what a difference this makes! I won't go without it now. I've tried many brands, a few that are very good, but Source Naturals is the only maker I've found that doesnt include one or two extra ingredients that the others have. My digestive system needs plain and simple, and this is it. I have been using Source Naturals' Wellness Formula for years with wonderful outcome, so I now include several of their vitamins and supplements as needed in my health arsenal.

These were recommended by my doctor. They are caplets and not capsules. They are easy to swallow and are also time released.

First two bottles were great. Third bottle was off (caplets smelled different, felt different, tasted different, and effects were not as strong), so I got a fourth bottle which is just as good as the first two. Going forward will buy in person to ensure quality/reliability.

This brand is more expensive and my dr wants me on this. Not necessarily this brand . It burns my throat up when swallowed. Like fire. He wrote down the one to order that doesn’t burn throat.
