Beautifully made but smaller than listed. This board is listed as being approximately 30 to 31cm. It is exactly 26.67cm, 10.5 inches. I have attached pics that show the scale. Other than that it is a beautifully made board. The pieces are a little small for my taste also. But this would be an ideal starter chess set for children I must say and would be a great travel size box. I have ordered a larger size from this company because the board and box is very nicely made. This is the reason this item did not lose any stars! There is no doubting the craftsmanship that has gone in to making this. Just look at the pics!

Perfect size to put in my backpack and bring to the beach, or a restaurant... The size is perfect for travel! Sturdy, love the smooth feel of the pieces and size is just right...

A well made, great looking set. Only issue was that two of the chess pieces had a small nib on the bottom, making them wobble on the board. This was easily fixed by removing the felt, filing down the nib and then gluing the felt back on.

Pieces are too small and it makes the game uncomfortable and anoing.

I really like this set. It is what can be expected by looking at the photo and the description: fancy looking, light and portable.

Well made (feels quality) and folds up into small box but big enough to play on even with my fat fingers and thumbs.

This chess uncomfortable, it is too small. And price so expensive.
