This is a really good guitar stool
This is a really good guitar stool, it's well made very sturdy and puts you in a good playing position. It takes a bit of getting used to if you have been using a chair, but once you get used to it, it gives you good posture, and the guitar stand is great, a brilliant idea it just folds away if you don't need it , I like the neck support with the safety bar, no chance your guitar falling off this stand and it pushes away under the seat and held in place by a thumb screw if not needed. The retaining clip under the seat is a brill idea, no chance of the stool collapsing under you when you sit on it. The foot rest is at just the correct hight to put you in a comfortable playing position. All in all for the price you won't buy anything better.

Good Kit
Make no mistake, the Kinsman guitarists dual stool is good piece of kit. I bought it because after 10 years on the covers band circuit humping a 10k rig and umpteen amps and stacks, lighting rigs and all the rest around, I am now in a singer/guitar duet and want to carry as little gear as possible. Stool and stand combined kills two birds with one stone. So lets start with the positives: Out of the box this is solid and well made. For the money you cannot fault it. I am a tall guy and the height is perfect for me. It is comfortable enough to sit on, and the foot bar is just the right height for hooking your heel onto so your guitar is supported on your thigh. It is stable and sturdy enough so you dont even think about tipping over and the padded seat tilts forward to just the right degree for comfortable playing. The guitar stand feature works well, though I will cover a couple of minor flaws in my 'negative' comments. Folded, the stool is reasonably flat, comfortingly heavy to carry, and on unfolding, features a nifty little locking clip to stop it accidentally folding up mid gig.....Overall, recommended, and excellent value for money. Now the negatives, and I bring these up only because I am a perfectionist who unreasonably expects top quality product for minimum expenditure! The retaining bar for the guitar neck is a fairly loose fit in its retaining groove, and flops out when you are carrying the stool in a folded position. Thankfully it is of a softish material so is unlikely to break off if you catch it on something, but that fear is there.....I will be securing it with an elastic band or something so this does not happen when the unit is in transit. Placing your guitar on the stool needs to be done with care if you play a jumbo like I do. It fits fine, but you have to carefully place it in the crooks first then lean it back into the neck holder otherwise you could bash the back of your pride and joy on the neck retainer. Parlour, Classical, Dreadnaught and electric players may not have this problem. Finally, if I was a short guitarist I would have been disappointed in this product. Really short players may have difficulty getting their feet on the ground in fact, and whilst the foot bar is perfect for me, for anyone who is vertically challenged, the foot bar would not lift your thigh high enough to comfortably rest your guitar on. These few small gripes aside, for the money you get a whole lot of stool and stand, and I am confident that this product will serve me for many years to come!!

Good, solid stool for the money
Bought this a few months ago, but wanted to test it fully at both practices and gigs before commenting. So far, so good. I'm a shade under 6' and around 14.5 stone, and the stool has been robust and comfy - although a little more padding on the seat would be a bonus! Foot rest height is decent enough and the guitar stand works fine.

Perfect Design
I bought the Kinsman for use when playing and practising at home and it arrived earlier today. The first thing that struck me on opening the box was the quality. It really is first class. It's also extremely well-designed, with everything fully assembled and no fiddly bits to screw on. It is compact, sturdy and looks great. I've got a full size acoustic resonator on it at the moment and it sits very comfortably and securely. As far as I can see, it's capable of holding virtually any guitar. The playing position of the stool feels natural and I particularly like the footrest bar. With one foot on the bar, the positioning is such that I'm able to play the guitar without a strap and with no fear of it slipping. At this price, and delivered free, this is exceptionally good value for money and I cannot recommend it too highly.

Good in Most Respects
The stool is well designed in terms of its height in use and collapsibility and fits easily in the boot of my car. You may feel that the seat benefits from the addition of a padded cushion - but attaching one is no problem and improves the comfort on a long session no end. The reason for only three stars is that the weld connections of the guitar supports are poor and one soon broke off. Personally I haven't missed this facility as I prefer a separate guitar stand, but as a construction detail it is a weakness (and could easily be eliminated by a stronger connection). No regrets in making the purchase though.

Good value
Easy to set up and transport. Sturdy enough, and really helpful when on a 2 hour gig, you don't want to stand for it all

Good solid stool and easy to stow.
So far so good. I have used the stool for rehearsals to sit and as a replacement guitar stand for about 5 weeks now. I’m not light (220 lbs) and the stool feels solid with my weight. It’s also a good height and the footrest well placed. I bought this because I find many guitar stands don’t pack well and stools are always cumbersome to take to gigs, this folds flat and is easy to throw in the car. The stool locks when set up and is stable both as a stand and as a stool. If I had to find anything wrong at this stage it would be that the neck retainer has a very light plastic guard to stop the guitar from being knocked from the stand, I don’t feel that this would take much punishment before it breaks. The arms at the bottom of the stand section are quite loose, this may only need a quick spanner tighten however... I haven’t investigated. Overall I’m Happy so far.
