I needed something with a light weight range while getting back into strength training. I didn't want a rack of weights that I would eventually not use, but felt that I could always use a 5 lb. weight for something. These don't take up much space and are easy to change. You don't need a rack to put them in to change the weight. It is easy to just use the clip to put more weight on and take weight off. Even though each weight is 5 lb., if you needed a single weight of more than 5 lb. then you can just use weights from the other dumbbell. I bought another adjustable weight with the rack to pick up from here. But these are very convenient.

I have been using these weights for almost a month now. Great value. I love that they are adjustable to different weights but compact to store. To add weight you slide the half pound increments together and they click in place. They are very easy to add and remove. It comes with a little tool to tighten them if they need it. The material is a plastic and honestly the color is lovely. (I bought these light purple.) These are exactly what I was looking for and I am so grateful I purchased these. The only improvement suggestion would be have a little box or bag to store all the pieces in. I’m keeping them in the foam they came in under my bed so I don’t have a bunch of pieces floating everywhere. But that is just me wishing it came with something. Honestly thrilled with this purchase and would recommend them to someone wanting adjustable weights.
